Derby County are expected to name Steve McClaren
as Nigel Clough's replacement.

Will the "Wally with the Brolly" have
to learn another dialect.

It really does seem a merry go round for these guys.

It's a great earner for these guys no matter how poor or mediocre they are, I reckon they must easily clear 500k-1 million a season, odd punditry appearance or guest speaker role at some company or fans dinner will help boost things up too.

What is it with Florist and Derby swapping managers by the way? Cloughie, Billy Davies and now the wally - what's the betting Cloughie jnr takes the job at Florist one day in the future?

 

Also do not forget that McLaren was assistant manager to Jim Smith at Derby before he went to Man U.

 

yep, sadly in this country we reward failure. How about a salary based on matches won, goals scored and league position. Now that would be interesting!

 

Especially in sport, that would be interesting concept would certainly weed out some of the poorer managers.

 

Well that looks like its going well for him 3-1 down to 1p5quit in first 20 mins!
