I'll be away over christmas, only returning home on Sunday, and as family and friends are not racing enthusiasts, I'll not be taking part much.

I may be able to logon via the phone, but it's less than ideal

Re the SSCC - I'm going to have to nominate the Welsh National as the target race, as the other races aren't up yet. I'll put up a selections thread tomorrow, and anyone unable to post nearer the time, send me a PM as usual. I'll do results etc on Sunday <ok>

So it remains for me to say ..... Merry Christmas to all our readers <cracker> May your days be sunny and bright, and all your christmas's be snow free :D

Thanks heisenburg you are very knowledgeable on the subject, do you work for the BBC? I shall take a look this evening. In realiity the only important commentaries are Derby's boxing day fixture and the w/e one when we hope to achieve wins 7and8 to keep our excellent run going. With ex Boro boss McLaren in the hot seat. Happy to take second spot if our QPR friend stays at no 1.
Happy punting on boxing day to you all.

Seasons greetings from a far from snowbound alpine setting. Not really racing related but I tried to listen to footie on radio 5 yesterday and live commentary is blocked, I can not view BT sport either. The boys were hoping to see Dr Who on I player too. Has anyone got any ideas how we stream things from France.

www.filmon.com --> has lots of UK channels for free <ok> (you have to pay for HD quality but normal quality is good enough IMHO)
If you want to use the BBC iplayer outside the UK, download and install ExpatShield --> gives you a UK IP address

Have fun <cracker>

<cheers>Wishing everyone on here a very happy and Magical Christmas. I will be back on here for the Boxing day spectacular... I also have tickets for Chepstow and the Coral Welsh National with the family and other half. I am looking forward to seeing Teaforthree (assuming he makes it) who is possibly my favourite horse in training right now.

We know where Dexter will be on Christmas Day ......

ITV3
From 8-45am onwards with just the ad-breaks
Carry on -
Follow That Camel; Matron; Loving; At Your Convenience; Girls; Again, Doctor; Cleo and Up The Jungle.

Just over 16 hours worth - The Grand National of Carry On :D

And if that's not enough, it picks up again at 11-30am on Boxing Day with Carry On Girls (again), Carry On ... Cowboy; Up The Jungle again; Cleo again and Camping.
Friday brings more repeats plus Carry On Don't Lose Your Head. They run out of options on Saturday, and just repeat the repeats <laugh>

Enjoy yourself Dex, but don't forget to turn on the recorder when you are watching the King George!

Merry christmas to all my followers. We had a great November with all my Longsdon tips. I have a tip for monday 30th dec but not allowed to post yet. Keep your eye out for it.

Merry crimbo to you too. I'll certainly keep my eye out for that.

It'll be the one I leave in a glass jar every night :D

A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all on the Horseracing Forum, from far away!

(niksboy: Oddy is quite right on Filmon. Have used this service for at least two years since he first mentioned them to me. Had my first spat with them, however, three or four months ago on their billings, so quit HDi service.. Now use Filmon's free (STD) service which, as Oddy says, is not so sharp as HDi, but it will do. Have to say their HDi service is damn good quality though. Have been on STD free service for over 4-weeks now and it is fine with no problems. Good luck, if you try it).

Haven't yet had a look at the King George on Boxing Day, but if there is decent cut in the ground will not desert Cue Card. Don't think he particularly likes the Kempton track, but he is so much a better horse on good-to-soft or even soft ground. Very important for him IMHO. Good luck to you all!
