Dear Moderators I am aware that you don't approve of advertising but our Mayor has three charities for whom she is trying to raise funds. All of them are worthwhile but as Saints fans we should all be chuffed (as Rodrigues would say) that one of them is the Saints Foundation. I have supported a number of the Mayor's fund raising events so far but I know that she has coming up on Tuesday, 20th October an event where you can have a guided visit of the Mayor's Parlour and suite of rooms plus, if it is not being used, the Council Chamber. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee and a chat with the Mayor. Places are limited and it only costs £20 with every penny going to charity. (£6 of that goes to the Saints Foundation).

If you want to book then telephone the Mayor's Office on 023 80 83 24 33 or have a look at this website: http://seesouthampton.co.uk/the-mayor-of-southampton-cllr-linda-norris/

Our mayor is working hard on these fund raising activities and deserves our support.

PS Linda is also the person who started and continues to organise the Music in the City event that we all enjoyed a couple of weeks ago.

There are some really interesting items in that room and you can also see where an incendiary bomb landed and luckily the fire it started was quickly extinguished.

It is a very interesting room. It's where I interviewed Lawrie McMenemy and co. back in May (I think?). Pretty awesome. The Mayor has changed since, though.
