to stay up we have to win 3 more games than either southampton, sunderland or villa. Sunderland have got horrible fixtures but at this stage of the season, form tends to go out of the window, as we proved last season. So, 3 more wins than any one of those 3 sides. The question is, is it do-able?
OK - here's the rose-tinted version. I don't believe it totally, but it helps to make your argument less abstract. Let's make three assumptions: 1. All five teams above QPR fail to win another match. 2. All five teams above QPR draw the matches that that 'on paper' seem winnable and lose those that 'on paper' look tough. 3. By contrast, QPR win their matches that 'on paper' seem winnable and draw those that 'on paper' look tough. if we got luck like Wigan have just had - a handball winner in the 90th minute - anything's possible. Sadly, we've had no luck at all this year
