Away to Middlesbrough and Notts Forest followed by a home game versus Swansea are going to be against teams in our neck of the woods regarding the league table. If we have ambitions to continue the fight for a playoff spot then these are 3 games where we will need to be at our best to secure points that could get us closer, or even above, our opponents. Realistically I see a possible 5 points but would obviously welcome more if we're up to the task. Even though I have jumped ahead a bit in the schedule I should point out that without a solid win against a poor Bolton squad everything could become a moot scenario and may end up giving City a sore head going in to the difficult away fixtures facing us. Our fate is firmly in our own hands, and feet, and anything we may do in the transfer window probably won't have any influence for the next 3 or 4 weeks. Come on City.
from a different thread. "January a different story, Squasher, we predicted 4 points only, bearing in mind we made our decisions in pre season .... ! ?" Stoke v CITY CITY v Bolton Florest v CITY Middsbro v CITY ..... I THINK January is make or break, a final chance at making top 6 by the May play off's. Bolton is a bogey team? ..... park the bus [fleet of them] Midds done them over recently away! Florest seemingly in disaccord but likely back on top track by the time we play them. Stoke? well we shall have to see if a point is forthcoming ......… have faith MIKE... Squasher and I predicted every months games / points total before the season started. We both predicted 4 for January and so far have not been far wrong … what a good start 3 already so 1pt from next 3 games will keep us on track! come end of December we predicted 44 --- Squasher and 39 myself so pretty close to where we thought...…...
