I've been invited to your hole on Sunday for the game. What's the best way to get from the city centre to the ground on public transport and vice versa? Thanks for your help
Metro from Piccadilly / Victoria to Old Trafford (Altrincham line). It stops right next to the cricket ground, and you should be able to see the stadium about 800 yards to the north. Put your flak jacket on, walk past the cricket ground on your left, keep going straight, and try not to fall down any stairs
Don't know about getting there, but you can get a free trip away from Old Trafford in an ambulance if you play your cards right!
Free maybe, but if the Liverpool fans mistake you for a Utd player you may have to dodge some rocks...
Yes. That's why I said Altrincham line Might be easier to get a bus to Alty then the Metro from Alty - it's only a few minutes longer trip, but likely to be less busy. And all Metros from Alty go to OT so no need to worry about finding the right tram, just hop on the first one.
No buses to Alty from Warrington on a Sunday anymore. If you're down here over Christmas, bring my ****ing Dawkins book back
No. The client I'm going with is a season ticket holding manc Heard you'd bought a heap of **** as a new car
http://www.manchester.com/sport/united/old-trafford-travel.php Ways from city centre to Old Trafford (train or Eccles tram would get you closest).
Thanks Diego. However, it's sorted. Train from Warrington to Oxford Road. Match day special to the ground. Meet client at N47. There's an escalator, thank **** I have to circumnavigate the Stretford End, though
There is a lovely little pub by the traffic lights opposite Sir Matt busby way, with cheap beer. Pop inside there for a quick pint, it says no away supporters, but no one takes any notice. all the United fans will welcome you with open arms.
