A lot of posters on here mention the importance of a new manager having a connection to Manchester united, I may be wrong but I doubt we will have any more loan deals in the near future regardless of who the manager is.
Without going into the rights and wrongs of Adam's dismissal there is no doubting the high regard he is held within the game and his connections with the other chairmen. Also nick barmby is also very respected at old trafford with as we all know his son jack playing for the club(I hear the signing of Cameron Stewart was more from his recommendation than Pearson/Walsh).
Hope I'm wrong as its been a very successful relationship but I just can't see David gill working with ehab in the same way he worked with Adam

If we get Bruce, we will still have a good relationship and even if we don't I'm not sure it will break up our relationship with them because we have shown that we can develop good, young players into even better and proven Championship players. If we carry it on, then the first thing I'd do, is get King back and stuff extra yard Brady.

Would it be dealt with at that level?

I just assumed the coaches/manager at Man U decided who was up to first team level and who needed higher level first team experience. Being skint meant we could give them regular runs in the first team so their potential can be realised and priced.

    From Man U web site
    Loan stars

    United players currently on loan

    Premier League
    Federico Macheda (QPR)

    Championship
    Robbie Brady (Hull City)
    Joshua King (Hull City)
    Oliver Norwood (Coventry City)
    Ryan Tunnicliffe (Peterborough United)
    Scott Wootton (Nottingham Forest)

    Overseas
    Bebe (Besiktas)
    John Cofie (Royal Antwerp)

    From the Manchester Evening News

The loan path successfully trodden by Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley is set to be opened up for more of Manchester United’s youngsters next season. Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson is planning to line up stints away from Old Trafford for some of United’s 2011 FA Youth Cup winners. Stockport-born twins Michael and Will Keane are among those being considered for loans next term to continue their education. This term the Youth Cup winners have had varying avenues to help with their progress. Most have been promoted to Warren Joyce’s reserve side, who have recently won the Premier League reserve league north title. Ryan Tunnicliffe has been out on loan at Peterborough United, Sean McGinty has been at Morecambe and John Cofie has been in Belgium with Royal Antwerp. Others have been getting brief tastes of the seniors in the Carling Cup to supplement their reserve duties. More senior players from the reserve ranks like Reece Brown (Oldham), Oliver Norwood (Coventry), Robbie Brady and Joshua King (both Hull City) have also been away to bring them on. It has been a policy for Fergie ever since he dispatched David Beckham briefly to Preston in 1995 to beef him up ready for his first-team breakthrough. And the latest generation’s next steps are in the planning stage. “There will be a few (going out on loan). We’ll always do that,” said Sir Alex. “We’ve had eight or nine out this season, including Robbie Brady, Scott Wootton, Joshua King and John Cofie. “I went to see Oliver Norwood at Coventry recently and he was a star for them. “Some of them will definitely go out again next season – potentially the two Keane brothers, Tom Thorpe, Davide Petrucci, Zeki Fryers and Matty James, who was out for a year-and-a-half through injury but is back now and playing well for the reserves. “We have some terrific young players here, (Jesse) Lingard, (Larnell) Cole, the two Keanes, Petrucci, Fryers, (Marnick) Vermijl, (Ryan) Tunnicliffe, Thorpe. “Of the team who won the Youth Cup last year, seven have been in the first team at different points this season, (Paul) Pogba, (Ravel) Morrison (who was sold in January to West Ham), Fryers, Cole, Lingard and the Keanes.

So basically people need to get over a "special" relationship where we have first dibs on Man U players. They are open to any offers.

    Agree with this
If anything its the ex-ManU players that we have that might influence the loan of other players. If any potential loan had a good relationship with Stewart/Evans etc they may decide to come to us over another club but it could always work the other way if they didnt have a good relationship

Agree with this. They bring their kids up the e right way, Pearson liked their players and that's why he signed 5 of them for us, Barmby saw what Pearson was doing and carried on in a similar way including using Man U as a source of loan players. United might like the fact we often look after their players well but apart from that there's nothing special going on and there's no need for a constant debate as to whether it was Joyce, N. Pearson, Walsh or A. Pearson who provide the link. The chances are we will get a manager who plays a whole new way and doesn't use United for players as the previous managers did but it'll be their choice.

So we potentially lose a relationship that gives us access to some of the best young talent in the country, which has brought us the likes of Campbell king Chester etc, any manager would like access to these players, if you think it's no big deal fair enough your entitled to your opinion

When we took Tom Cleverley on loan Fergie praised Pearson for how we managed him. His relationship with Fergie has carried on from there. He sign quite a few for you and has signed 3 Man U players for us since he returned

We've had plenty of excellent feedback from Fergy before Pearson's short stint. I recall him praising to high heaven the dossier he gets back from us about his players, so the relationship's liable to be unaffected.

I can't think of a player that would have gone back to Man U with anything but praise for how they were treat by the Club, fans and people in this area.

The bit where we may fall over is if we have cash now. All Man U are interested in is their players getting regular games at the appropriate level. If we buy 1st team players that could keep loanees out, we'll miss out, but won't need them. If there's a suitable loanee for a place we've got available, we're in with a the same shout we've always had. Man U will and always have done what's best for Man U.

But we won't lose the rwlationship that's the point. We'll just have a new manager who probably won't want to sign the same sort of players as Nige (and subsequently Barmby) did.
