The legend that is Alan Shearer has been linked with the managers job at Cardiff. Maybe a good thing for opposition with his 12.5% win rate. Who will get the Cardiff and Birmingham jobs? A return anywhere for Burley and Strachan? Where will Billy Davies and Dave Jones end up? Surely there is room in the Championship for Avram Grant. Do you think there will be any more casualties before the season starts. and finally who are your favourite championship managers? - Nigel Pearson ranks highly with me.
-Shearer will go to Cardiff and Hughton/Di Matteo to Birmingham. -Burley's next job will be back at Hearts and Strachan either back at Coventry or at another Championship club or the Scottish National team in a few years time. -Billy Davies will hold talks with Derby after they inevitably sack Clough this season but will probably end up at a high-end Championship club. -Only if the club plans on taking a trip down to League 1. -Unlikely although nothing would surprise me. -Pearson definitely. I like Mowbary and used to think Cotterill was a nice bloke before he went to Pompey. McDermott has done brilliantly well at Reading, I think he's a great coach and will go on to big things.
Strachan will get ofered a job somewhere, but its about whether he can be botherted to take it. Wouldn't surprise me if his next job is Scotland in a few years.
