I agree I think fans (and that includes me) are too quick to see the missed pass/lost ball and not pick up on completed pass/tackle count. I think if we were winning games and scoring a hatful of goals then the odd poor pass and missed tackle would be forgiven. So I agree let's get behind the team and IMHO I don't think it will be too long before we get that win and climb the table.
I aways get behind the team and I certainly never hurl abuse at any of our players or our manager. I'm just fed up with starting every game 1-0 down....
If you are playing does anybody give their team mate a verbal volley for a misplaced pass? The answer is no. Positive and supportive psychology does lead to improved performance. Reverse that and you can destroy a players performance.
I said yesterday SOD is not only having to spend time repairing the damage the boo boys inflict, but it detracts and lessens the time he can get them organised and motivated, it is a negative hindrance to what it is all about.....winning games....
'to spend time repairing the damage the boo boys inflict, but it detracts and lessens the time he can get them organised and motivated' Oh, that's the reason. It's the fans fault. Nothing to do with selecting Kilkenny and Fonts early on. Continual selection of arguably the worst keeper I've ever seen play for us. Our inspirational Leader - the MASTER of what did you say - organised and motivated'. Do you want me to go on........ No, of course not - let's bury our heads in the sand and believe SOD's bull***t.
"We've said all along that positive support gets through to the players. Its unbelievable and makes you feel ten inches taller, two yards quicker and work even harder" Gary Johnson.
Pity so many don't get , or accept that quote from Johnson. Shankly looked upon fans as being part of the team. The team wanted to be part of that "team". And on that goes.
there is a balance in these things RP its not all black and white Alternatively if you feel you can manage a football club, well the world is waiting...
It certainly is. A dressing down from fans should only be saved for those being disrespectful to the team, club and game i.e Not trying. The rest of the time I cannot see what benefit there is in being negative. All week players will be concentrating on performance, some will be visualising simple elements, attempting to remain positive and if one poor touch is met with derision? You want players to be positive in mind and play. I rememer the Johnson quote "positive support gets through to the players", bang on, try that with kids and you can see a change in them, it is little different with adults, and some of City players are teenagers.
Just need to see the body language and pride shown when we played the gass. Harewood pumped up chest out gesticulating to the fans Bryan going straight to Carey when scoring. There appears to be pride in this team and it must be much better for the team to feel the crowd behind them rather than on their backs after less than 10 games. As said by others if players are just collecting their money and not trying OK but looks to me that this team is trying it's best to win. OK so we lose by the odd goal (or three in Peteborough case, a blip I hope) I may be proven wrong, but still have hopes that this bunch of players will see us OK this season and on.
ITS A PITY WE COULDNT CLONE THE 250 POSTERS ON HERE WITH 150 CLONES EACH AND GIVE THEM PRIORITY ON MATCH DAYS THAT WOULD SELL OUTS AND KEEP THE CRAPPY MOUTHY BOO BOYS OUT.......................... IMAGINE 30000 ALL SINGING CO Y REEEddddddddddddddddZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz
