Interesting that nobody has commented. Is it because SD seems fairly satisfied in this interview?

I must admit I am surprised that this has had no comments about his interview! Oh well never mind, I thought it was an interesting article! Hey what do I know!

i thought it strange too, it was a useful post. I do think he's a little bit too...positive, but then again, it's the first pre-season game. Bit worrying that he says they hadn't done any kind of tactical training for the match. Seems, in that case, that they haven't done any! I hope they get a lot done in France :)

Do you want me to pass on any messages about the type of tactics we should be using? ;)

I am sure a man of your experience could teach those young pups a thing or two OFH! Put them on the right track.

These games provide absolutely no pointer or indication to the success of the coming season whatsoever. It is a waste of time to attach any importance to the result or the game itself.

Why on earth should SD or any of his team devote any time whatsoever to the 'tactics' in a game which is so meaningless other than to get the players (of both sides) back into the habit of a full 90 minutes run-out?

I'd have thought, if they'd had time to practice tactics, they wouldn't be for this game in particular, but to practice a variety of tactics for use in games that count.
