There is no way Allen is worth 15mil. Marin moved for 7million, Kagawa signed for about 17mil. Sure Rodgers has worked with him before but let us now forget Konchesky. Hodgson had worked with him before. Allen is a good little player but not worth 15million. Henderson had several seasons in the Prem before his move and it was still a rocky affair. I don't think the problem lies with the move to Liverpool as a club rather having to try and play in the same team as Gerrard. Must be awful to play alongside him as a player as he expects to the centre of everything Liverpool do.
Sorry I fail to see what Allen offers that we don't already have. There are 3 things midfielders offer if you look at it simply. Tackling Goals/Asissts Possession Allen covers the last one, but neither of the first 2. Lucas covers 1 & 3. Gerrard covers 2 and 3. Henderson covers 3 and could develop to cover 1/2 as well. Aquilani covers 2 and 3. £15mil for someone who makes lots of sidewards passes is a hell of a lot when as mentioned above, Marin was £7 and Kagawa (who got roughly 15 goals & 15 Assists last season)costs £17mil. Guess you have to add the English tax onto it which count for another £10mil these days.
