Mr Allam needs to sit down with Steve Bruce asap and sort out a long term contract that will keep him at City for the next two seasons at least.
Whether we go up or not SB has shown that he is exactly the manager we need to go forward and there will be a lot of other clubs interested in him now.

I would guess that SB is an ambitious man and his ultimate aim is probably to manage Man U. To get there he has to prove himself at the highest level, so if say Everton lost Moyes and came calling I'm pretty sure Bruce would be off.
The other thing is that he knows he will have his work cut out just avoiding the drop with us in the Prem and a relegation battle doesn't do a lot to raise a manager's profile.

Our survival and possible consolidation in the EPL will be far more likely with SB in charge, so the Allams will need to be at their negotiating best to convince him we're worth the gamble.

Yeah I thought he had a 3 year contract and I would think any current contract or future contract would have have some Clause in it giving him permiasion to talk to a bigger club e.g Everton etc.

Maybe so, but manager's contracts are usually only relevant for compensation purposes. If a manager wants to go he will, so owners have to constantly ensure a good manager's success is reflected properly in his contract even if it means improving his terms.
There's a chance that SB's current contract might be enough for him, but I doubt it as he has gone from being a reject from Sunderland to a success with us and therefore the value of his services should have increased.

He's already on a three year deal and if Everton come calling, he'll be off, regardless of his contract terms.

You're right, but I just can't see what Prem job he could ever get now. I'm serious, who would want him that are a better bet than us? He'd have to do seriously well to even get a sniff of a good job, keep us in the top half for 3 years and win a cup or something.

I could maybe see him at Stoke, but are they that much better than us? Probably are, but I can't think of any others.

I think we're all agreed on that.

He should have negotiated for an automatic pay rise if we're promoted anyway.
