...... never goes away as it's the one thing they think they can hoy at us. So it'll be interesting to see how many they pull in today ..... yes I'm interested. They don't seem to like McClaren, with his endless grinning & open letters, and I doubt it'll take much more grief to see them turn on him. As he's already claimed that Elliot will cost them 20 points, this season, and has now lost GPB it'll be fun watching Tufty squirming if the booing starts. Sunderland's gates will be less than Newcastle's for some time to come but our last home game had more there than Newcastle's against Norwich. Somehow they still believe that 47,000 is actually 52,000 but delusion is their speciality
Always hard to tell Smug. Like us they give 1000s of tickets away every game. They even give tickets to junkies. We can admit we give tickets away. The Mags? Well they mock us for giving away tickets but completely deny they do(they even go one further than us, they give season cards away) Denial always runs strong on the darkside.
They can thank John Hall and Kevin Keegan for this so called great fans base, in the overall scheme of thing prior to this they had very ordinary gates. I was at a game when they had less than 8000 in attendance, this was in the old first division as well, so when I hear about this great fan base, I take it with a pinch of salt http://www.11v11.com/matches/newcastle-united-v-norwich-city-26-april-1978-84382/
One thing you have to give the North east credit ( Mags included ) is the fact we can pull in around a 100,000 fans on a weekend when we are 2nd and 3rd bottom of the league to me that is actually incredible.
Loads and loads of empty seats there and there's 30 minutes gone. Even the Stoke supporters are singing about it
In this day and age? both should have been sent off there. How the official didnt send Mitro off for the push is beyond me! The Stoke players reaction would have been more difficult to judge in real time.
There was 5,000 in the Sunderland sections and 10,000 more on the waiting list TBH, I don't give a monkey's about gates ........ both clubs get more than they deserve.
Yes he did didn't he. Can't believe I missed that. Hello John-the-mag on monday. Fair bit of ammunition on this thread. Ta v much.
