Good Morning. Its Wednesday 4th March, and here ar the latest headlines from Elland Road FA release 62 page dossier against Casilla The FA finally released a statement yesterday afternoon regarding Kiko Casilla's 8 game ban and £60,000 fine for racist language. The 33yo was accused of breaching FA Rule E3 - calling Charlton Athletics on loan forward a "f***ing n***er" after the pair had clashed prior to a corner being taken in the 72nd minute. The remark was also heard by Addick's team mate Macauley Bonne. The pair conferred, before speaking to the referee. Casilla's key defence was that his English language was limited, and he did not even know that the "N-word" existed, but the FA did not accept this excuse. Straight after the game, the referee informed Casilla of the claim that had been made, and that he had to report it to the FA. Tyler Roberts Knew Leko from his time at West Bromwich Albion, sent Leko a Whatsapp message on the coach home to ask if Casilla had said something racist. Leko repeated that he had, before Roberts replied that "he [Casilla] said he said 'what's your ****ing name'". The commission said it accepted that Casilla "is not a racist" and that the language "was wholly out of character", but that it was "satisfied on the balance of probabilities" that he had directed a racist remark towards Leko. Had Casilla not used the language defence, he would have received a six game ban. Casilla's use of "the language defence" was found to be an aggravating factor, with the commission concluding that Casilla "came here to deceive the tribunal, and that makes it even more serious". The FA were also critical that Casilla's used high-profile character witnesses like Rafael Benitez which they labelled a "shameless ploy. The FA summonsed Nketiah to give evidence against his former teammate. Nketiah was at the hearing, but firmly representing Leeds United and his statement didn't implicate Casilla in any way. Thoughts? please log in to view this image Should Leeds Utd punish Casilla In the light of the 62 page dossier from the FA regarding Kiko Casilla's racism charge, should the club take further internal action against the 33yo spaniard? Are you more, or less convinced then before that Casilla used racist language? Would you say that the punishment meets the crime? please log in to view this image Charlton Athletic condemn social media abuse towards Leko and Bonne Charlton Athletic have condemned social media abuse directed towards Leko and Bonne following the FA's outcome Charlton’s statement today said: “The club is pleased there is finally a resolution following the news that Leeds United goalkeeper Kiko Casilla will be banned for an incident that took place when they played at The Valley in September. “However, the club is disappointed with the abuse on social media that Jonathan Leko and Macauley Bonne have received following the news. “Jonathan was a victim in this incident and the pair of them did not ask for this, the club is proud of both of them for standing up as football continues to fight racism. “Charlton Athletic’s priority in the process has been supporting the players involved. Racist abuse is abhorrent and completely unacceptable, at no point should an individual have to experience racist abuse on the football pitch or in any walk of life. “This is not the first time in the last 12 months one of our players has been subjected to racist abuse; last year the club twice reported racist abuse on social media directed towards Lyle Taylor to the police. “All of us in football still have so much work to do. “The club will continue its work with various anti-racism organisations and the Charlton Athletic Community Trust on anti-racism and anti-discrimination projects and urges anyone who witnesses racist abuse to report it. Personally, I find the Addicks statement a little hypocritical considering Lee Bowyers past, especially the judges summing up of the infamous Woodgate / Bowyer trial in 2001. If you are a celebrity on social media, are you fair game to be trolled? (not racist) Is there enough protection on social media sites? please log in to view this image
Morning all.. I’d like to read Kiko and the club statement on this report. Kiko told us all he didn’t use racist language, the report states he admitted using the word not knowing it was racist? That isn’t what Kiko and the club were telling us, if he admitted to using the ****** word he knew it was racist. He still however got a longer ban than John Terry who was lying through his back teeth. Sports men and women, yes have social media accounts but make them private so only those who you want to have access to them can. Make it open and it’s wrong and sad but you will be trolled, I’d ban my players from being active on it unless their privacy was set to private protected
As far as i can see it's still very much one word against the other. There isn't a definitive answer. Only Casilla knows what he said or meant to say. If there is no actual proof how can you sack the guy? Either someone is lying or there has been a language misunderstanding. I'm not sure how "what's your ****ing name?" (a weird thing to say in the circumstances) can be construed to "you ****ing ******!" I mean, how bad is his accent?
Morning all. No intention of discussing the Kiko thing any further as clear where everyones allegiances lie by now. What is it with this club though for shooting itself in the foot at vital times. Bowyer Woodgate trial rear ended us when we were on the point of being best in Europe again, Spygate last season just when promotion looked nailed on and now this. Are we jinxed or cursed. Thing is, players probably have already moved on hopefully and Kiko away on holidays or whatever but fans will keep banging on and on and on about it till season ends and beyond
Good Morning to Matt and co from a sunny Bardsey Sorry but because he cannot play for 8 games he should not expect to be paid and if Messliers does well then I would advise him to work in Spain as we can't afford 32k a week to see him sitting on a bench
If he had used the word sambo, he may have got away with it... I appreciate that over the years we seem to make mistakes at bad times in a season. But I really feel that the FA could have sorted this out sooner. Now I may sound paranoid, but it's as if the powers that be were dragging their heels to see how we were doing going into the last so remaining games. I hope we win our remaining games(at least 8) and get out of this fecking League and so we can stick two fingers up at the bent authorities.
Only Kiko the clown and that black ****ing snowflake West Brom **** know what was said, in my opinion, in todays 'i'm a victim times' the powers that be dare not find a Honky innocent for 'allegedly calling a Black **** a ****** , they **** themselves when all the usual suspects, Lammy, Abbott, Khan, the mad loony left crawl out of the woodwork and call every white Honky racists because they didn't side with the alleged victim, its too easy to appease these ****s by just saying guilty as charged you ****ing white honky supremacist bastard, makes them feel good about themselves, the ****s
Whats the **** want now, counselling? I can't ****ing do with cry babies blubbering about name calling, but I hope some Honky goes crying to the referee saying hes been called a white **** by some Black ****, lets see how that works out. My piss boils quicker as every day goes by with all this ****ing victimhood culture bullshit **** me sideways these Gangsta wannabe ****s call each other ****** all the ****ing time. Guy Gibson wouldn't have got a VC or DSO today, they'd have locked the war hero up, the soppy bastards
My kids love and play basketball, both teenage girls. The other night we watched a film about a basketball coach taking over a team from the 'hood' you know the drill. Bunch of badass hoodlums blabla. They were calling each other ****** all through the film, my girls never batted an eyelid as they did not not know this word was banned. Its a word you don't hear anymore in PC england, used to be common in the eighties. Where would Kiko even hear this word? can't see it being used in training or in any social circles he might be in. But the FA have been seen to do the right thing, **** up someones career on 'probabilty'
Reminds me of a story my brother told me a few years back Este, His then bird had a mate (white) who was going out with a Black lad, well she needed to go see her for some reason urgently so our kid said he'd drive her there, they get up there and she's there with her boyfriend and about four of his mates all black, our kid said they gave him a funny look probably cos he was a Honky and they never really made him welcome so he stayed in the kitchen with the girls, he could see and hear these lads talking gangsta style and callng each other Bruv, Blud and ******, well the girl asked our kid and his bird if they wanted a cup of tea and then went to the room and said "Hey, any of you ******s want a cup of tea", Our kid said it was ****ing hilarious, they all stopped their gangsta talk (tumbleweed rolling through the room) and looked at her with that big rubber lipped dumbass look totally confused They probably didn't drink tea eh
Nah, they probably smoked 'tea' Back at school we used to call the black lads ******s they called us honkies, still played on the same footie team and went out drinking together.
