The highly rated youngster joined the Whites 18 months ago for what was considered a bargain price of £500,000. Now, Leeds are giving him away! It seems the Tykes have picked up a bargain there! Surely we could have at least picked up a fee for him? It looks like Wilkes is next!!! Morning all... Very nice fee for Sacko, with total outgoings against income received so far this season we’ve got to be in profit, even with Costa. I wonder if there is a surprise signing to come? Assuming Costa does join and we don’t sell any key players who is going to be left out? Anyone fancy a guess? Costa has to start wide right, Pablo will become more central, so will it be Harrison or Alioski on the left? If Harrison Douglas or Alioski LB and will Shackleton be able to force his way in. Tyler Roberts, Alioski, Dallas, Shackleton, Ben White is my expected bench.

I just hope the agreed deal in Turkey has happened before they realise they were sold a pup. Sacko going this week will also help and can't see Barnsley being given Halme as a lot was invested in him. If you remember I was banging on about this kid who was seen as the Fin Wonderkid with a big future. Orta brought him in and his first season he was out injured, he never kicked a ball. He really started last season and was a solid performer in the U23s and a big part of their success. He was promoted to the first team by Bielsa and still carried out U23 duties and rotated with Diaz in defence. So allowing him to walk without a fee seems stupid. Wonder when Mujica will be announced or has he taken up another offer?
It's good that we've got so many decision to make. It's the #10 position that intrigues me most. Will Bielsa persist with Roberts now that Pablo appears to have been freed up? Or will he ease Pablo out & ease Bogusz in over the season? Nice problem to have. (I hope ).

I agree. We've surely got to get a fee for Halme. Can't even argue that we're saving the remaining wages on his contract, as it can't amount to that much. I think it was telling though, in retrospect, that both Berardi & Phillips were used as emergency cover, even though neither is a specialist CB. Didn't occur to me at the time. And tbf, Halme did have a couple of 'moments', which you would expect in a youngster. Perhaps I could speculate that it's a mental / application issue that Bielsa is not comfortable with, rather than a skills / application issue. Who knows? Well, clearly Bielsa does. Further speculation - wonder if Pearce +/or Davis are going to be developed as CBs in the u23s?
Number 10 role has a lot of candidates Pablo Roberts Bogusz Klich Forshaw Pablo will not do a full season at high intensity as we saw at the death last season. Pablo can be special but guessing he will be managed this season to be an impact player. Roberts at times was great and needs to find the net more from the No10 but that was all he was missing as he did create chances. Bogusz will push his way in at some stage this season
Not so worrying for me if it's part of Bielsa's plans.Certainly a concern if it's not! Weren't all the 'late' players due back on Monday this week? Suspect Saiz wasn't.
