Good Morning. It's Wednesday 12th June, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Summerville has no plans to quit ER this Summer Crysencio Summerville has 'no plans to force his way out of Elland Road this Summer' according to reports from TEAMtalk, and the Yorkshire Evening Post. His form last season was sensational, netting 20 goals, nine assists and winning the Championship play of the season accolade. It was widely assumed, after being linked to the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and more recently Brighton, the deadly Dutchman would make a big money move (£25m-£35m) to a top flight club, and Leeds would use some of the monies for the rebuilding process - but what if he stays put? Leeds need to raise £70m in player transfers to stay the right side of Financial Fair Play. If Summerville stays, it will put more pressure on the club to sell Archie Gray. Georginio Rutter is also a contender to leave Elland Road this Summer, though selling him for a loss won't do their P & L much good. We also need to remember that Summerville only has two years remaining on his contract. The club will get considerably less for him next Summer if he decides to go then. please log in to view this image Leeds are in hot pursuit of Moroccan winger According to Dutch media outlet 'Voetbal Zone', Leeds are in hot pursuit of Moroccan U23 winger. Couhaib Driouech. The 22yo applies his trade with Excelsior, who, despite his best efforts on the pitch, was unable to save the Eredivisie side them from relegated last season. He is highly regarded in Holland, and has already attracted the attention of Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven and Spanish side Sevilla. Driouech only has twelve months left on his contract, prompting PSV to try their luck with an £850,000 bid which was quickly dismissed. The versatile 24yo is out of contract this Summer, and due to leave the London Stadium for pastures new; but in a desperate bid to change his mind, have offered Johnson a new lucrative five year contract. The details of the proposal are unknown, but the East London outfit are confident a deal can be reached. Rangers and Crystal Palace were also monitoring the former England U21. please log in to view this image
I wouldn’t be bothered if the so called big names depart, Summerville ( when marked he goes missing eg play off final) Rutter ( thinks he is better than what he is and poor at finishing) Gnonto ( Leopard never changes there spots, wants out so get rid and let the black spaghetti muncher do one) Meslier ( time to move him on, get a defence with a new keeper they can trust) All the above can be replaced easily imo and we can get good money for them also.
Summerville Is want to keep if possible with Archie. Summerville was deservedly player of the championship and highly unlikely wed get someone as good as a replacement
Morning all Only two more days before the transfer window opens, the Euros might make business a little slower than usual but I am sure we will start to get a better picture of who might be leaving. I don't believe we'll see many signings before players have departed
Good morning Lose the (m) and it would be about right, my gripe with Meslier is he is good on a one on one, or shots above the shoulder/head, but lower either side and it's in, also won't catch a ball ( like a lot of keepers these days) but prefers to parry, catching goes largely unnoticed but parrying is one for the cameras, that's my take anyway. That's what i found refreshing from Klaeson, preferred to catch if he could, reminded me of the goalkeeping from days gone by.
Back to reality now ready to board flight back to leeds/bradistan from Zakynthos. A week of not caring just hearing the gardener may return.
5 million for Meslier was decent. I'm not his biggest fan but if we sold him, I'd expect a decent profit. At least double.
