Good Morning. It's Wednesday 4th September, and here are the Leeds Utd headlines

Is it Nketiah and Costa time yet?

After back to back defeats against Swansea and Stoke (in the league Cup), is it time to introduce Nketiah and Costa to the Leeds starting line up? Whilst they have done well as a substitutes, they'll never be match sharp until they starts games.

Will Bielsa play Nketiah and Bamford together?

    Who would Bielsa sacrifice?

    Club or Country

A month into the season and we already have our first International break!

Who enjoys them? Is it a welcome distraction from the league or are you sick and fed up of having to cram in so many midweek features to allow for Internationals?

Who would sacrifice a return to the Premiership in order to have their Country crowned world champions?

Have you always thought this way regarding Club and Country?

    Gary Neville's warning to Bielsa

Gary Neville has been speaking on Sky Sports about Bielsa's inability to learn English and how it could hamper Leeds bid for promotion. The former Red believes his own time in Valencia was hindered by his failure to learn Spanish.

“I couldn’t communicate to the players and we talk for a living. Every team talk was 50 minutes because it had to be translated by the person next to me. If you see Bielsa’s interviews, they’re hard to watch too,” he said on The Last Word With Stan Collymore.

“I had four Spanish lessons a week, I was getting up at six in the morning, they thought I was crazy, to basically do an hour and a half of Spanish. All the team meetings were in Spanish, I insisted, they obviously needed a translator for me but I worked really hard.

“I’m doing this team talk and Alvaro Negredo comes up to me, he says ‘look, there are two things, you just have to do it in Spanish. You can speak football words now, you’ve been here for three months. People admire you for it, it’s brave, but you’ve just got to do it because you’re still speaking in English after three months’

Should Bielsa be making more of an effort to learn English?

Top journalist claims Leeds walked away from Kent deal

According to Daily Mirror journalist David Anderson, Leeds had a 4.5m offer accepted for Liverpool winger Ryan Kent but then changed their minds once they heard that Nketiah was available. They used much of that money to bring the Gunner to Elland Road on loan for the season.

Liverpool refute this claim. They say that they turned down the 4.5m offer.

    Morning all...

I couldn’t even name the England starting 11 that’s how uninterested I am when it comes to international matches. Every 4th year I’ll cheer them on in at the World Cup but without too much expectation.

Nketiah in for Bamford and Costa in for Forshaw or Klich, move Pablo central.

    Morning,

The international break should be scrapped worldwide. If a player gets injured playing for his club and is forced to miss the following international game tough ****. Plenty of players to choose from to replace him.

Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey perhaps its not as cold as yesterday
Kent has not proved himself ion the EFL so I am pleased we didn't sign him
Costa and Eddie should be given a chance to shine at Barnsley
Can you believe the ingratitude of Michael Owen saying he did not want to join a small club like Newcastle he was getting 120k a week and found excuse after excuse for refusing to play for them do these people live in the real world I doubt it

It doesn't help that now you can't even watch your Country on TV for free.

    Good morning all
Costa in for Klich, as i feel he can offer a lot more, my problem with klich is he has had the odd good game, but more often than not he doesn't, so not consistent enough for me, i would now certainly (at home) play two up front with Nketiah and Bamford together, not sure who to drop though, but something certainly needs to change for the home fixtures.
As for sacrificing England as world champions <laugh>, in a heartbeat for Leeds to gain promotion, as sadly the internationals mean nothing to me anymore (apart from the world cup which i thoroughly enjoy) as Ristac said, I to couldn’t even name the England starting 11, which has got me thinking, i wonder how many people (off the top of their heads) could ? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Morning all. Its kind of Gary Neville to offer advice to Marcelo but judging from the football that Leeds play he seems to be managing OK.

In my opinion the championship should continue during the international week.

However clubs should have the option to postpone and rearrange their fixtures if they have call ups. Leeds still wouldn't play but at least there would be some good footy to watch as the championship is one of the best and most competitive leagues in the world. All it would need is to stagger the KO times/days so they don't clash with when the home nations plus Eire are playing.

Funny how Gary Neville now thinks he lost his job at Velencia, because he couldn't speak Spanish, as when he got the job he said it wouldnt hinder him, think he was just ****.

Every time everyone calls for Klich to be taken off or dropped and leave Forshaw on. Remember the team still needs goals. So you want to leave a player on that has not scored a goal since the season 2015/16 that has 14 goals in 252 matches and almost non assists and take off a player that scored 10 goals last season and almost the same amount of assist that has 36 goals in 193 matches.
Who do you think is the more likely one to get a goal and/or an assist?

For me the choice is obvious, it has to be Costa for Forshaw and bring Pablo in central:emoticon-0148-yes:

Following on from yesterday's comment about us all being plastics or glory supporters in some way I shall elaborate slightly...

    When my support commenced there is no doubt that it was a glorious period in our history. Therefore the question I ask myself is;

Were we a L1 or L2 side at that time would my support have taken the same form, or would the temptation of a team challenging at the top table have been more alluring ?

At that time the only football on TV was MOTD, Sportsnight and the FA Cup Final. We featured heavily on all of those due to being one of the best teams in the land.

In fact would any of us be Leeds fans without the glory years ?

(Duke is excused as I know he went to ER in the 50's the old git)
