Morning all £100k a week, I hope Rads has sat down with Bielsa and asked him A) How badly does he want him and B) Is he going to play more games than Nketiah and Augustin. He isn’t a goal scorer so I can’t see him being a replacement for Bamford. I think Harrison, Poveda, Costa or Roberts watch out. Alioski has also dropped further down the pecking order
From the clips Doc posted a lot of them showed him with Shirt No17, now I wonder who has that number? I think he is a Pablo replacement or intended to be before too long but then again could be 100% wrong
Don't think it's a forgone conclusion, he's been out injured since the end of June with a torn knee ligament.
Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey Whilst I know that AR has made a statement of intent I feel that it may damage the close knit family atmosphere that we have developed at ER Koc h will be the nex because Rangers will not be able to say no to arrive this week and Kent shortly after I think that that will do for me
Morning all. I hope Rodrigo is worth it. I wonder what Pablo is thinking about this signing? By the looks of it he's not a Bamford replacement is he? Trust in Bielsa if he was his first choice.
Happy with the Rodrigo signing as long as it all goes through. I think he'll be competition for Bamford and I think it'll depend on the tactics of the game which depends on who starts. I'm not that happy with the wage he will be on as I don't want it to upset the current group and look what happened to us the last time we paid out silly contracts. Saying that the PL is a different kettle of fish now and if we want to be in the PL to stay and make big signings the wage structure will have to change but I think that'll be the biggest contract we pay out. I think if we can get Koch and Kent in the next week or so I think that'll be us pretty much done unless Douglas/Davis are going then I think we might put a cheeky 5/10 million bid in for Joe Bryan from Fulham as I know we've been interested in him and a LB. Starting 11 & subs for Liverpool. Meslier Ayling New CB if signed this week hopefully Koch (If not I think it'll be Ayling with Dallas RB and Douglas LB) Cooper Dallas Phillips Costa Hernandez Klich Harrison Bamford Subs Casilla Struijk Alioski Poveda ShackletonNew winger/10 (Kent) Rodrigo
Been reading that some fans think Rodrigo is a striker but he's not. So we have barn door and roberts with maybe geldhart by easter . We have harrison pablo costa poveda and rodrigo as wing and tens plus roberts. Shakleton and Alioski can play wide too so why do we need Kent i can't see any reason. Further back is klich and phillips who if he is not fit for the 12th sept surely will have to miss England games. Forshaw who is ok when fit but that's the problem right there he is an absolute injury waiting to happen. In my mind not even worth counting as a squad member. I am hoping that young full back we signed can cover Ayling. Centre back is a massive problem for us even if we sign foyth. Left back well Alioski is hopeless and should be avoided so that leaves dallas who stepped up last season and improved plus davis. So we will be starting with virtually the same line up that finished the season. That leaves us with a rather weak looking bench of rotating youth that never get a look in. So for me and i know this will divide opinion a left back of quality is needed. This puts dallas on the bench and drops Alioski altogether and i think we should sell him.
If medical goes ok Rodrigo will join Orta and Radz on a flight back to Leeds for the official signing at Er later today. Also signing today is Sam Greenwood from Arsenal for the U23s which will be signing No5 for the kids. Young Sam is another CF who scored 15 goals from 27 games and can play as a No10 or out wide. Firepower coming into the Academy with Young Jo coming in last week plus Charlie Allen as an attacking middy
