Good Morning Everyone Pontus Jansson has received a one match ban from the FA following the criticism of referee Jeremy Simpson. The 27 yo was also fined £1000. This means he will miss out tonight. I suppose if you could pick a game to be without your best defender, it would be against the team bottom of the division! Izzy Brown has sent an encouraging tweet to Leeds fans suggesting his debut may be sooner rather than later. The England U21 International is working hard to regain his fitness following his injury that has kept him sidelined for the majority of 2018. Brown tweeted 'Not long now'! Hopefully we'll see him in action in November! Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray says his side targeted “vulnerable” Leeds United defenders Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Ewood Park. He said to the Yorkshire Evening Post after Saturday’s victory: “Pontus Jansson is a monster of a man and (Liam) Cooper is dominant but you take those two out of the box, we felt they were vulnerable, which is what happened. Whoever was getting marked by those two played wide; for the first goal Graham came powering through the middle and scored. For the second goal, Lenihan did the same.” Soccer pundit Jim White said (on Talksport) that Bielsa gets his players in at 8am to go through almost two hours of video analysis before hitting the training ground. They then work through what they’ve watched on the videos. “He’s had them in since 8am for video analysis from Marcelo Bielsa,” White said. “One hour and three-quarters later they’re on the training ground. That’s some regime.” White asked former Leeds star Michael Gray what the Leeds players would think of 105 minutes of video analysis in the mornings and he replied, “Players hate it. You lose your mind after 10 minutes, shuffling around on your seats.”
Morning all... You hate the video analysis if you have no ambition to improve or have a coach like Hockaday, if you want to become a better player and you have someone with the experience of Bielsa you should be taking it in. If they think it is boring or tough go and put them in a factory working a 12 hour shift To be honest, I’d forgot he came to us for a short loan spell, amazed it was twice, really can’t remember him here.
Video analysis is brilliant and if it had been available years ago top managers like Revie, Clough, Shankley would have used it. If you are a lazy good for nothing player you wont like learning how to improve. I guess the reason Bielsa offloaded players when he arrived is because he knew the ones selected to stay were wanting to learn. The EFL are a disgrace and i believe the club are fuming but will not protest it but are going to write a stinging letter of complaint. Pontus was already on the plane when he got the ban and could have had an extra couple of nights with his new baby if informed sooner. Bielsa said he would speak to Pontus before deciding to put him on the bench or not, so dont think he was going to play anyway. Obvious agenda against Leeds as we always get done for nothing. Brentford was a disgrace and the head butt goes unpunished, penalty claims ..... We are obviously never going to get a penalty FFS.
Morning all...The ban on Pontus is a disgrace & just shows how corrupt the efl is with one rule for us and another for everyone else. Don't know if it's part of the sky contract that players have to give post match interviews,if so, then they should wait a little longer before speaking to allow the adrenalin to subside. If it is not contractual, I would immediately ban alll my players from speaking to any section of the media.
Morning all. The ban is a joke when you look at what Canos got away with. Great official statement from the club though. I think a proper us against the world mentality is starting to take over from the top to the bottom. The best revenge we can get on the fa and EFL is to get promoted and stay up. Take away their cash cow
Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey So what will be our back 4 Ayling Beradi Cooper and Pearce I think that Jack Clarke should be given the nod alongside Roofe I t was a good night of results for us with Boro only managing a draw at home to Rotherham and Sheff U drawing at home to Stoke which means if WBA don't win to night and we do we will be top of the league Bring it on!
Some good stuff from Phil Hay about the way Bielsa and his coaching team score individual players, and up to 15 of them do it for every player. Bielsa said that in the first 5 games the average player score was 7 and since then its down to 6 which isnt good enough. He also spent 15 minutes answering the first question at yesterdays prezzer where he gave some insight into things. He wasn't happy that we are top of the league on chances created but 2nd in chances taken and the team behind score 50% more from their chances than we do. So reading between the lines he will bring in a striker at Xmas. First 5 games we did well and Roofe was scoring as well as Klich and Pablo but Roofe out sees our ratio fall badly, so if Roofe can start scoring again it will keep Bielsa from signing a new striker and hope Clarke/Edmondson and Bamford can do some damage. He was also peed off about the final ball being a joke........ Lets hope we sort it out and starting tonight
I’m sure they factor that in, but the stats tell you number of shots not quality of chances. So like for like can be misleading. They do show that we take a lot of shots from outside the box and that in terms of shots from inside 18 yards we are up there but not top. Creating clear cut chances is an issue... I’m not seeing us miss loads of sitters.
I think it is contractual. I’d just instruct them to answer in fish or fruit or random topic of the day. Sky: “Pontus, are you happy with point?” Janssen “Pomegranate” Or we could insist on a translator for every interview, like mb has sky: “Pontus how are are you feeling?” Pontus to translator: “I feel like sh*t, the ref is a cheating knut” Translator: “he’s a little disappointed in the result”
Exactly Richard Footballers are pampered these days, nice to see our players actually doing a day job under Bielsa's management
Contractual or not I would instruct the players if they have a microphone shoved in their face just answer "NO COMMENT", that would soon p*ss Sky, Shaun Harvey & his inept fogey's off

It seems one of the members of the EFL Board is the Chairman of Brentford Malik Wilkes is today in court for violent conduct where someone was stabbed at a West Indian festival. Hope he had nothing to do with it or could be career ending Wilkes has pleaded not guilty to charges and Donny Rovers have made a statement saying he had pleaded not guilty and the club are saying he is available for selection at this time ...
