Good Morning. It's Wednesday 24th July, and here are the Leeds Utd headlines Ben Gibson on Leeds radar Leeds are in talks with Burnley regarding a possible swap deal involving Ben Gibson and Bailey Peacock Farrell. The former Boro centre back is out of favour at Turf Moor having made just one appearance for the Clarets in the 12 months he has been there. Peacock Farrell also looks to be surplus to requirements at Elland Road having made just one 45 minute appearance for the Whites in pre season. He did not go on the tour of Australia and did not feature against recent friendlies against Tadcaster or Al-Ittihad. Burnley will have to drastically reduce their expectations for the 26yo; thy're looking to recoup most of the the 15m they paid for Gibson. Leeds will expect a fee around 3.5m for the Northern Ireland shot stopper. Morning all Cooke back at Leeds would be great but any of the others would be great for shorter term. Tranny rumors are few as usual but lots of speculation and even more fans reaching for knives as it may be we dont sign anyone else. I see a couple coming in to be frank but have been wrong in the past. I also see more going out and includes BPF. I read what Kiko had said about how he felt at the end of the season and why he decided to go back to Spain. Then he thought fk it the fans deserve to see the real Kiko and I'm staying...... The club and players are behind him and made up.
Morning all... Not a lot to add myself that’s not already been mentioned or talked about already. Would still like to see one more decent signing.
Morning all from a glorious Spain. Catching up and sorry to read of Mikes and Docs health issues. Wishing both a speedy recovery. Nothing footie related to discuss
Good Morning to Matt Doc and co from a muggy Bardsey I feel ready to face my challenges now .I must admit I was shell shocked on Monday now I am ready for the fight. Any truth in the rumours about Ben Gibson being swapped for BPF I think it makes sense I seethat Lee Erwin who I thought was something special has now joined Ross County I wish him well even if he made me look bad
Just want to Wish both Mike & Doc a speedy resolution to their health issues. I guess if i had a choice from the above it would be Casper Schmeichel,as more than anything else imo we need a competent keeper, i know kiko has said the right thing about improving and not wanting to let the club down, but he has done nothing to inspire me YET and it will have to be a massive turn around from last seasons performances.Just hope for all our sakes this turns out to be the case, because i still believe that a strong team starts with a strong keeper. Btw a very good Morning to you all from an already sweltering Southampton.
Where would Cook slot in? When you think about it, we've got one hell of a midfield. Also, it makes you think how they may have under performed last season. Harrison, Klich, Hernandez, Costa, Shackleton, Bogusz, Phillips, Alioski and Clarke. With a midfield this strong, can we play two strikers?
The big failing for me last season in the midfield was how many times we were left exposed at the back. Most goals against us were caused by our midfield being out of position, a bad pass and when it happened it usually meant we conceded. Having 2 Phillips would be great because both capable of pinging a 50 yard pass to go offensive. We will play 3 at the back sometimes this season....
Morning all. As much as I love Milner I think Delph would be the perfect return from the list. Imagine him and Phillips next to each transitioning defence into attack to the likes of Pablo, Costa and Harrison. Plus Delph has spent the last few years in a Pep team so wouldn't take long to get used to the Bielsa way.
This paints true picture of what theFFFP rules have the Championship. Morning Mike, really well put, you have to fight. I saw that Lee Irwin has returned to Scotland. One guy who certainly didn't fulfil his potential.
I was wondering who had signed who, as I hadn't seen much transfer activity, that list shows no team other than Brentford is really putting it out there. Looking at the list of players there are only 2 players i think would improve our team. Costa is as good a signing as either. Is it ffp or whatever they call it now taking a hold? Schmeichel , Kiko is still a big worry for me.
Kalimera from a sunbed on Kefalonia we have escaped the rat race. I would have danny rose back just because i like his name. We left the brexit chaos behind and are now surrounded by people of various nations.
Good morning Matt & all As I suspected yesterday the Sawyers link was just paper talk again I'll be surprise if we'll sign any others now, we may bring in an umpteenth U23 player so we can retain our champions status in that league please log in to view this image
Loan fees do change that list, as in we paid £2 million to loan Costa, and probably a fee involved for Harrison as well.
Doesn't help that the paddies tarmac'd the pitch before the game and are using different shaped and sized potatoes instead of a cricket ball
