Good Morning. It's Wednesday 10th June, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Price War between Sky and BT is great news for football fans Sky Sports have launched a price war with BT Sport, ahead of the resumption of the football season. Fans will now be able to get a NOW TV Sky Sports Month Pass for £20 a month instead of £39.99. BT Sport’s Big Sport package has been slashed from £40 to £20 a month. Sky Sports have also trimmed the cost of its Sky TV and Sky Sports bundle from £48 to £39 a month. There is a three month contract with all three offers. You would need to remember to cancel the package at the end of the three months before the prices revert back. The best offer seems to be BT Sport’s monthly pass. It's £25 a month, and only a monthly commitment. please log in to view this image January target available half price Che Adams will be available for transfer this Summer, at the cut down price of 10m. The former Birmingham hitman netted 22 times for the Blues during their 18/19 season. This led to a big money move to St Mary's on the South Coast (15m) a year ago. Although Adams is yet to get off the score sheet in 22 appearances, he has been praised for his work rate and overall contributions. Back in January, Leeds were desperate to sign the 23yo, trying desperately to put packages together worth 20m, on the proviso that a deal would become permanent if they won promotion! After being turned away more times than Ell, Leeds switched their attention to an unfit Jean-Kevin Augustin. Would Adams be a good addition to the Leeds squad in the Championship? Although different players, if Messrs Orta and Radrizzani can snap up Harry Wilson for 12m this Summer, what does that say about Adams current price tag at 10m, let alone the figure we were looking to pay just six months ago? please log in to view this image EGM conclusion delights Leeds fans The Extraordinary General Meeting hosted by the EFL went as planned yesterday as the majority of clubs voted for:- Final divisional placings will be determined on unweighted points per game (if required). Promotion and relegation should be retained. Play-Offs will be played in all circumstances but will not be extended (beyond four teams). Further to this, League One Clubs voted overwhelmingly to end their 2019/20 campaign. As a result, Coventry City have been confirmed as Champions with Rotherham bouncing back to the Championship next season. Wycombe Wanderers, Oxford United, Portsmouth and Fleetwood Town will contest the play offs. As a precedent has now been set, it will make it a lot more difficult for teams at the foot of the Premier League to argue against relegation, which obviously is good news for Leeds, if for whatever reason the Championship cannot be finished! please log in to view this image
Morning All, Che who? I'm still thinking that unless it makes financial sense for the Championship teams to play their games, I honestly don't know if it does, then at some point the clubs are going to do the same as League 1 and 2. Does anybody know if playing games behind closed doors will be financially positive for Championship teams?
I'm not sure about Adams, it was bit embarrassing the way we went about signing him but ultimately didn't. We already have a hard working forward who doesn't score as regularly as he should have.
Why would we want a striker at the club like Adams who rarely scores but gets praised for his workrate. Oh wait a minute, I meant to say why would we want a second one Morning all
I like Adams. He tore us apart singlehandedly last season. He is quick, strong, works hard and contrary to popular beliefs can score lots of goals up front on his own. He scored 22 goals in a poor Birmingham side last season. If you put him in the right system he will score plenty. The big thing about his style of play is that it fits perfectly in to Bielsaball. I'd happily take him for next season regardless of which division we are in.
I believe it means they will have to refund a smaller amount to the tv companies if they manage to complete season. Ive read that but haven't any links to it. Probably means they'll take less of a financial hit by playing as whether they do or not, clubs will still have to pay the astronomical wages
Maybe, but he could come here and not score soon enough and the amount of abuse he'd get would be unreal.
Morning all. If Adams hasn't scored in 22 games they are not going to get 10 million quid for him whatever his work rate is.
Morning all. Seen rumours on another forum that Big Kev has either ; a/ had a fight with Phillips b/ done his hamstring again c/ all of the above Anybody heard anything about this or is it just bullshit ?
