Good Morning. It's Tuesday 30th May, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Should the fans have turned on the players sooner

It was only on the last day of the season, that the Elland Road faithful finally lost patience, 90 seconds into
Sunday's finale. In the absence of Andrea Radrizzani, large sections of the crowd turned on the players, letting them know that their efforts this season have been unacceptable, but did they leave it too late?

Should the fans have been getting on the players backs months ago? They were quick enough to assist in the removal of Messrs Marsch, Gracia and Orta, yet week in, week out put up with overpaid, second-rate mediocre who in reality, never looked likely to rise to the occasion.

Whilst booing can effect a players confidence, they have taken us for a ride last season, and have not been held accountable for their inept performances!

49ers beginning to flex their muscles

Phil Hay has revealed that that Andrea Radrizzani and 49ers Enterprises locked horns during the January transfer window on several issues, with the minority shareholders flexing their muscles to get their way!

Whilst Jack Harrison was undergoing a medical at Leicester City's training ground on transfer deadline day, Paraag Marathe and Co were busy throwing a spanner into the works, by vetoing the move at the last minute.

Only two weeks earlier the Americans pushed through the £30m signature (rising to £35m with add-on's) of Georginio Rutter; a 20yo forward, plucked from Rennes' academy, two years prior by Hoffenheim for £750,000. It has been suggested that Radz was a little more cautious, but ended up giving way to the 49ers.

"Georginio Rutter’s arrival from Hoffenheim was one example. Radrizzani mooted the idea of taking Rutter on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season but 49ers Enterprises wanted a permanent transfer immediately and a protracted move was done for £30million."

"Radrizzani favoured selling Jack Harrison to Leicester City, a means of raising around £20million, but 49ers Enterprises preferred to retain him and the move collapsed less than two hours before the deadline, despite Harrison being sent to Leicester’s training ground just in case. Events like those made the point that the split of ownership at boardroom level was not sustainable indefinitely".

Radrizzani given exclusivity to try and tie up Sampdoria deal

Sampdoria have issued a press announcement stating that Andrea Radrizzani's Aser Group (and others) have secured exclusive rights to complete the takeover of their club. Although recent speculation indicates that a price has yet to be agreed, it has been speculated that his business partners, which include Matteo Manfredi, PSG owners QSI, and even 49ers Enterprises are all ready to chip in!

Surely, this is the end to his six year reign as Elland Road supremo? The 48yo has limited funds. A large proportion of his wealth is tied up in Leeds Utd, and if he is to follow his dream, he'll have to accept the 49ers £170m bid. According to Phil Hay:-

"A takeover of Sampdoria appears to hinge on Radrizzani selling Leeds, though, and progress on that front might be the tipping point for him and 49ers Enterprises to resolve and close out their own discussions. Yesterday, Sampdoria issued a statement announcing that the bid Radrizzani is part of had secured exclusivity to complete a deal. There was no sign of him or any of 49ers Enterprises’ representatives at Elland Road [on Sunday]."

All I’m interested in who is in charge of sorting out offloading players, bringing new players in and which kids are going to be loaned out. Who the fook is in charge now as the present owner is in Italy and the potential new owner hasn’t agreed a deal with Radz yet. LIMBO needs resolving fast

Fans turning on the players, booing, chanting you're not fit to wear the shirt is all counter productive.

Whilst it might make certain fans feel better it's more akin to self harm than motivational.

Personally I'd have rather seen classic Leeds defiance in the face of adversity manifesting itself by chants of support for the club. Neither Marching on Together or All Leeds Aren't We were heard on Sunday.

Morning all by the way <ok>

    Have to agree Jambo.

Sunday needed some defiance and probably some gallows humour but I suspect everyone there was too numb with the whole thing.

One has to say that if the management can’t be bothered to turn up to such an important game why the hell should the players

Ten weeks is not long to build a new team and get them fit. If we are still piddling about next week then i fear the worst. These investment groups are meant to be movers and shakers. All i have seen so far is a damp squib.i can remember being relegated before and ending up with a team of has beens and never will be players. probably haggling over a deal and didn’t want to face the inevitable abuse - but someone should have had the nads to front up.

    Morning all

Radz and the 49ers surely had a plan B in place that involved relegation, it surely never came as a surprise

Headline news for me is the possibility of Big Sam taking over for next season, if that is announced I will be as disappointed with that as I am the relegation

Think Kinnear will be the only Director left who was part of the Asser/Radz group. I just hope Sam isn’t brought back because I will fear the worst.

listened to The Athletic podcast this morning with Chappers who had Phil Hay on and the Leicester writer. Chappers went ballistic on the behaviour of Big Sam who he said blamed the players for not been good enough and the club buying crap. As far as he was concerned it was nothing to do with Sam it was the fault of everyone else. Chappers even said his team selections looked like big trouble but he blamed everyone except himself. Morning all. If you think things are bad at the club now there's more unpleasant stuff coming down the line sadly. Didn't let the football club ruin my weekend though. Personally thought the fans were fine on Sunday. The ones that made a proper effort were applauded, all three or four of them. The rest also got a suitable reception for their efforts

We're talking about players earning hundreds of thousands a month. How much passion did they show for the shirt?

Gnonto wanted by a host of CL top clubs including Man City, but not good enough for Fat Sam and one reason why Sam needs fooking off. Best 3 players all season has been Tyler Adams, Rodrigo and Gnonto, but Rodrigo and Gnonto ignored by Sam? He was forced to play Rodders but preffered a broken Bamford

I would include Summerville in the list of best players but yet another one totally ignored on Sunday.

    Allardyce can **** right off.
