Good Morning. It's Tuesday 29th October, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road James heads the wanted list It has been revealed that Leeds next top target is Manchester Utd winger Daniel James, but the deal will only go through if the Red side of Manchester can land Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho. If the real cannot be constructed, Leeds will activate Ryan Kent's 20m activation fee. Country to media reports, both players would be keen to join the Whites. please log in to view this image Leeds target involved in training bust up with Lewandowski Robert Lewandowski 'leveled' Leeds target Michael Cuisance with a tackle in training, leaving the 21-year-old down for the count. Upon gathering himself, Cuisance allegedly made a move toward Lewandowski, unaware of the Pole's kickboxing background. No punches or kicks were thrown, but the two were separated whilst Cuisance “wildly gesticulated at the Pole. Bayern Manager Hansi Flick was keen to get between the two to calm the situation down. Cuisance has already let it be known that he wants to leave Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in search of more regular first-team opportunities. Leeds have agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old French youth international, but are still negotiating a fee with the German giants. please log in to view this image Leeds chasing talented left back According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Leeds are among a number of clubs interested in taking Ryan Sessegnon on loan from Spurs The 20-year-old's opportunities have been limited since his 25m move last from Fulham last Summer where he made 106 appearances, netting 22 times. He has also been capped 14 times for England U21's. Sessegnon can either play at left-back or further forward on the wing. Leeds, Southampton, Ajax and Brighton are also interested in the young wing back. Tottenham will be looking for a loan fee and the player’s wages paid in full. please log in to view this image
To any of us complaining about Tyler Roberts, we should perhaps remember he was pulled from the Wales squad to manage his fitness due to his ongoing shin problems. Last 2 games ( 2 wins by the way) Tyler and Rodrigo have shared the work load by having 45 mins each and are both trying to get up to full speed. Morning all.
Good morning, I'm still struggling to get too excited about James or Kent. They'll give us more depth to the squad which might be useful but I'm not sure how much they'll improve our starting XI. Cuisance or similar is still the priority for me.
Morning all, Either Cuisance or Kent then Seesegon on loan and I think we have had an excellent transfer window. I have never entertained the idea of a relegation srap and with the players already in and any more and I cant help thinking we are going to be a top half team no problem. Now I've said that I'm going to put my tin hat on and wait for the pelters I am sure are coming my way.
Morning all Forget the Ornstein player to Leeds thing, not happening as Leeds are ot mentioned in todays podcast. We have enough cover at LB and will not guarantee game time. Not bothered about James but know for a fact that he only comes into play if Man Utd buy Sancho or another flyer. It may happen then and only if we havent already brought a winger in. We are not waiting in hope, we are acting to beat the window elsewhere. Kent again is paper talk as we asked them once they refused and Orta doesnt just hang around until the last minute and throw another offer in. He is trying to bring in a top midfielder right now and Kent isnt it. Cuisance looks like happening so only leaves room for a winger. De Paul looks dead even though his replacement arrived yesterday. Pozzo would need to be on the phone right now to offer a decent price for De Paul and stop us progressing Ciusone. Something we need to be aware of regarding player suspensions and injury, is we could end up losing a player or more in a covid quarantine thing. That could be 2 games missing for that player or worse 3 or 4 who all mixed together.
Bryce Hosannah will be going out on loan early next week to Bradford City for the season. For me he has been unlucky not to get a chance in the first team due to Aylings form and last season using Gotts or Shacks or Dallas or even Davies when Ayling was missing. This will hopefully give him plenty of game time and experience. Bryce for me is probably the fastest thing at the club and one if the most skilful players. His last 2 games for the 23s has been as a CB and yesterday he turned in a MoM performance if Sam hadnt got a hat-trick. We have Cody Dramah to replace him though
He's doing a job filling in for Pablo and we're winning games...what's not to like ? We've come as far as we have under Bielsa partly because he doesn't throw players under the bus like some fans do. Not having a go at you for having an opinion but could probably name 6 or 7 players who have been castigated to hell and back on here who still make up the majority of our successful squad. Oh go on then if you insist... Kiko Cooper Dallas (me) Harrison Costa Alioski Roberts Bamford and now even Pablo. They've all been slated but are still pulling on the white shirt and doing the business.
Good luck to Bryce. I think after the recent criticism of Roberts it's only fair to point out that they're the same age which is why I think it would be beneficial for Roberts go out on loan for a year and see if he matures when he's playing every week. It won't happen though as Bielsa sees him as being a big part of the senior team. Talking of loans I expect we'll announce Robbie Gotts to Hull / Huddersfield soon. Do we want him playing in a bad Championship team but under Corberan or in a seemingly good League One side?
I'm no Rangers fan but for some unknown reason (probably just timing) have watched a few patches of their games this season. Kent looks really good, I mean head and shoulders above anyone else. I'd be quite happy to see him come. Don't know much about the French kid. I have no opinion. Sessegnon would be perfect but only if we got him permanently. Not interested in loan deals. That would excite me. De Paul looks decent. Happily accept that one too. Cantwell....meh. As for Roberts. He is a striker not a midfielder. Stick him in the group of Gelhardt, Greenwood and Edmonson and let them fight it out for the right to progress further. Rodrigo and Bamford look to have that forward position locked up for now. Edit... In response to @Jammy 07 yes he is filling in for Pablo. He and Rodrigo can continue doing that and do ok for us. I think it's a position we can improve with the right signing. It seems a bit of a weak point when Pablo is missing. Squad needs to cope better with it.
Morning all.... Transfer window has exceeded my expectations although we still need one more, that being the creative midfielder...
Roberts is the only player this season who has peed me off and he has had an open door to push against thanks to Bielsa and Pablo been injured. He didnt think he should work in the Hull game and was shocking on Sunday, its almost as if he doesnt appreciate the chance hes getting. One great performance could convince Bielsa that he can save £30m, but he was useless. The comparison with Hosannah isnt relevant as I would pick Hosannah even as a No10 before Roberts because I know in Bryce he runs his rocks off and has more ball control than Roberts. Roberts wasnt liked in the 23s because of his attitude and he didnt score a goal and every time he was hooked off and replaced by Edmondson young Ryan always scored a couple. No way can Roberts get ahead of Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood as strikers. Sorry but I only see body taking a wage, just like Douglas. I cannot complain about Douglas because he hasnt played this season
If you remember some wanted him sacked last October. Let's see what happens if we lose the next 2/3/4 games which could easily happen...the rip it up and start again merchants will be out in full force no doubt and god help us if Bamford doesn't score every game or misses a chance or two.
Cuisance the new Hernandez? It really does look like this is going to happen now. The only thing that can go wrong is the fee but Romano has said it looks like an agreement will be reached. Romano has said this is Leeds’ final offer but there’s no suggestion that this is in conflict with Bayern, although this is the first we’ve heard of them wanting nearer £30m. if they’ve given the player permission to leave, it suggests that the talks with Leeds are going well. If Cuisance does sign it almost certainly means that Rodrigo De Paul won’t be coming to Leeds in this window. Some fans will be disappointed about that but they should be getting excited about Cuisance instead.
