It's Tuesday 1st October, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Skipper out of action until New Year with LCL injury Ethan Ampadu will be out of actions until the New Year after tests showed the Leeds Utd skipper sustained a knee ligament injury in their 3-0 win against Coventry City. He limped off the pitch in obvious discomfort a few minutes before the half-time interval, placed by Japanese International AO Tanaka. Extensive tests revealed damage to his lateral collateral ligament (LCL). Surgery is not usually required for this type of injury unless other ligaments in the knee are also damaged. If he needs to undergo the surgeon's knife, it will be four months until he can resume training. After speaking to specialists, the Leeds Utd medical team will put together a rehab programme which should see Amps returning to light duties around Christmas time, and hopefully make a full return sometime in January. According to Daniel Farke "It's a serious knee injury, he has damaged his lateral ligament - the doctors have recommended a conservative treatment so he doesn't need surgery," It's difficult to predict how long he will be out but it's realistic to speak about 10 weeks until he can return to team training. "It could be a few days more or less depending on the rehab. At the moment we expect him to be back in training at some point in December but he will need a bit of team training before he's available. Max Wober is to undergo meniscus surgery later today, to fix his troublesome knee injury that has kept him out of action since the 3-0 Caribou Cup clash against Middlesbrough in mid August. The meniscus is a “C” shaped, wedge like structure made of cartilage which sits between your tibia (shinbone) and your femur (thigh bone). It acts as a cushion to absorb shock and protect the surfaces of your knee joint. Your knee contains a meniscus on the inner (medial) side and one on the outer (lateral) side. A torn meniscus is a common knee injury. Activities which cause you to forcefully twist or rotate your knee, especially when putting the pressure of your full weight on it can lead to a tear. The surgery only requires a few small incisions and takes about an hour, but will keep him out of action for another six weeks. The club should be seething. Morning all. Back from the holliers and looking forward to a bit of footie tonight. Haven't seen or followed any of Leeds last two games. Have to say looking at the table, this would appear to be one of the poorest championships in a long time. There are no stand out quality sides. Whoever goes up will be likely to be propping up the lower reaches of the pl next season

Afternoon all If we go up we’ll need a miracle to stay up, on the plus side, the 49ers and Red Bull have better funds available than Radz and we won’t have Orta blowing it all. The three promoted teams haven’t managed a win between them yet. Saying that, Ipswich looked handy against Villa in the second half, they might survive as there are worse teams around them, unless Man U go after their coach Blow losing Ampadu as it leaves little cover and our bench is starting to look poor, Solomon and James out doesn’t help matters either
Our squad was paper thin from word go mate and we knew at some point we’d be stretched. That’s what happens when you don’t replace everyone sold. More worrying is the potential length of the injuries. Ampadu is a huge chunk of season and it remains to be seen how many games Solomon is able to handle. Makes no difference how good he is potentially if he can’t stay fit
On the Hamer offer, AK said we were told after the intial offer was made that he wasn’t for sale this window (and he hasn’t been) moreover if they were to sell him (presumably in a later window) that they wouldn’t sell him to us. So doubt there was any 2nd bid.
