Good Morning Everyone West Bromwich Albion fans have been left fuming after ticket details for the Baggies’ trip to Leeds United were released. Albion head to Elland Road on Friday 1 March for an evening kick off - a newly arranged date courtesy of Sky Sports which has already inconvenienced fans of both clubs - and a potentially crucial fixture in the Championship promotion race. Having charged just £20 to away fans at The Hawthorns this term, Albion have been regularly applauded by visiting supporters. That’s something that can’t be said for Leeds, however. Albion have been allocated 2,500 tickets for the trip to Yorkshire, and tickets will cost £39 for adults, £26 for seniors 60+ and 16-22 years, £18 for under-16s and £9 for under-11s. Though there’s a cap in the Premier League on away ticket pricing - you won’t pay more than £30 in the top flight - it’s free reign in the Football League and the admission fee to watch the Baggies against the Whites has not been well received at all. Vinnie Jones made a bold statement on the Alan Brazil Breakfast Show saying Leeds will definitely going to be in the play offs! To be honest I think any of us at the helm could ensure Leeds finished in the top six, even without Bielsa. Put these clubs in the order that you think they will finish First) Norwich Second) Leeds Third) Sheff Utd Fourth) West Brom fifth) Middlesbrough sixth) Bristol City Seventh) Derby Eighth) Birmingham Ninth) Aston Villa All 4,500 away tickets at the Riverside have sold out!!!
Morning all Talk Sport are actually trying their best to pick a fight with Leeds Utd. The fatmoose is forever winding fans up and most of their pundits like taking a pop. Maybe its time the people of Leeds did what Liverpool did to The Sun. Dont listen to it tune into something else..... YEP have got an interview with Rob Price later which should be eye opening on the injury front Leeds Utd have not been able to field a full strength team once this season. Just think about that because we've had 13 different defensive set-ups and yet our possession % show we keep the ball better than any other team in the league. Our goals to chances ratio however would see us near the bottom which is the form of Ekythumps team of last year so we need to have Bamford back now for the rest of the season. Our defence is nowhere near as bad as some would have you believe but we have had too many bad mistakes whilst in possession, but this is the same team as last year with defending sorted out in the main and football of the highest quality being played in the main, but not getting the results deserved. yes we were second best in a couple of games this season but not by much and the difference in those games has been bad errors followed by chances taken to score. Whenever players bust a gut you will always have a chance to win games and I havent yet seen our team not trying to win this season unlike last season. We dont have the best players in the league and we dont have parachute payments or billionaire owners. Happy Clappy or realist?
I can fully understand any fan being pissed off at £39 a ticket, especially for division 2 football that is on live tv, £30 is plenty enough to pay. Not many away teams sell out, quite a few because of the pricing structure.
Cant understand it myself if it was cheaper more would come. But then again £20 you must be joking so i would go £28 £20 £15 £10.
Morning all. Not that bothered what Vinnie or anyone has to say really. Theyre all just predictions that may or may not be as accurate as we come up with. In fact Ill bet most of ushave watched a hell of a lot more Leeds than Moose or Vinnie this season. We know by now, nothing about this league is predictable
Exactly. All down to the players now. Got themselves in a great position and need to finish the job off. No standout teams so on our day were as good as any. Likely a few others saying similar about their clubs
After Saturday, the players will let it go 1 of 2 ways, they'll be deflated by it or they'll pulled them selves together and kick on again, Boro will be a tough game and defeat there could be a big psychological blow. If we do get beat on Saturday hopefully it won't get them down as we have a decent run of games to come after which should get our season back on track. As much as I don't like Villa, we could really do with them finding some form Friday night and beat Sheffield.
Agreed but on paper the standout teams this season are Leeds and Norwich and istory in the main shows that the standout teams are promoted followed by a late runner. Not an exact science however
Good Morning to Matt and co from a foggy Bardsey I see they have found the wreckage of Salas plane and seen a body inside it surely from the position of the body they will know who it is all very strange to me If we lose at Boro we will be the first one since Ipswich in Dec all the other home game in Dec and Jan have ended in either draws or defeats so lets keep up the good work My top 6 Norwich Leeds WBA Shef U Derby Villa
Lots of money going on: WBA Leeds Norwich Sheff Utd Derby Bristol City Anyone seen the BBC piece this morning about the RFU being asked to stop relegation's from the top league? Our best mate, the bent twat at Bristol City also owns Bristol RFC and loved his face on telly again
All i can say is,WOW what a side that was remember the game & being on the edge of my seat, but at 4-2 finally relaxing, then bam 4-3 with a minute to go,then peering threw my fingers for the last few minutes,Even the great Leeds sides never did it the easy way something we've all grown accustomed to over the years i guess, being a Leeds fan ain't easy.
If we go up this season I reckon the present squad will be held in the same esteem as Wilko's team. The season we won the League was the last season of the old first division and I reckon that the old 2nd division which is today's Championship was much much easier to get out of as most of the teams were crap with maybe 8 teams max that stood a chance of promotion. Whereas today we see maybe 20 teams capable of beating anyone in the league
Considering the current form, I have to say this is how I see it finish 1) Norwich 2) Sheff Utd 3) West Brom 4) Middlesbrough 5) Bristol City 6) Derby 7) Leeds 8) Birmingham 9) Aston Villa
