Good Morning Everyone Kemar Roofe has resumed first team training as he races to be fit for Saturdays showdown at St Andrews, Unfortunately here is not an under 23 game this week to assess the 26yo's sharpness! Should we take a gamble on Roofe? Would it be fair to drop Bamford? Which of the top 3 have an easier run in? What is your prediction as to where the top 3 will finish? Norwich City P39 81P Queens Park Rangers (H) Reading (H) Wigan Athletic (A) Sheffield Wednesday (H) Stoke City (A) Blackburn Rovers (H) Leeds United P39 76P Birmingham City (A) Preston North End (A) Sheffield Wednesday (H) Wigan (H) Brentford (A) Aston Villa (H) Sheffield United P39 74P Preston (A) Birmingham (A) Millwall (H) Nottingham Forest (H) Hull City (A) Ipswich Town (H) If Villa are already guaranteed a play off place, they would be unlikely to field their strongest team against us, surely? If we were given the option to buy on loan winger Jack Harrison for 10m in the Summer, would you take advantage of it? Given the choice - Hernandez or Strachan Roofe or Beckford (how he was) Jansson or Chris Fairclough
Morning all I think we will be jointbtop with Norwich and come second in goal difference. I see 2 losses for Norwich and I dont see us losing again this season. Wishful thinking yes I know, but been a happy clappy all season and seems ok to me. Blunts will also drop points Jermain Beckford scored goals but he actually needed more chances than any other top striker to score. Yes he scored great goals but his best were instinctive and when he had time to think he wasnt as good. Bamford has that too but no pace like Jermain, Roofe has pace but he aint Bamford or Beckford. Afraid we have what we have and hope they come good and afterall Bamford has had 3 howlers in front of goal on the bounce. Betting he comes good but goals also from Klich, Harrison, Alioskiand Roberts to come
Morning all. I think itll go to the last game as our program and Sheffields look very similar and Villa wont be in a guaranteed spot by the time they visit. If teams behind them win their games in hand, they wont even be top six this week. There are still some twists to come thats for sure. Remember, we were twenty minutes on Saturday from being in serious trouble, such are the fine margins now
Good Morning to Matt and co from a wet Bardsey Looks like Daniel James liked what he saw and the reception he got at ER I would not be surprised to see him next season replacing Harrison I have to agree that referees favour the top 6 clubs in the PL at the expense of the Cardiffs etc I think that Preston holds the key whoever does best against them in the next week will probably get 2 place Hernandez Roofe Jansson
We have the hardest run. 2 tough home games out of 3 on paper and 3 very tricky away games. Next two games will be interesting as both us and the blunts have the same fixtures. We also have to go to Brentford who are arguably the best home side in the country. Gonna be some twists and turns.
Would go Strachan Roofe Jannson Think Norwich have the easiest run in, then us very slightly over Sheffield Utd. Would prefer James over Harrison, but none of them for £20 million as none are the finished article by a long way.
We have drawn Newcastle in the Premier League Cup Semi Finals. In the group stages they beat us earlier on but we beat them to guarantee a quarter final place, which we obviously won. They are in the top league but we can beat them as we recently proved. Game on
Hello gentlemen, just got back from my Far East tour, been away for a month so catching up on things. Watched the games against Sheff U and Millwall live out there and was very disappointed with the Sheff U game and the Millwall match I was on edge as per usual. We seem to have the tougher run in on paper, but in this league anything can happen, we need Ipswich relegated prior to our last match against them, the last home game against Villa could be a worry, lets see!!! Strachan, Beckford and Pontus for me. Roofe on the bench against Brum City for me, but a word in Bamfords ear prior to kick off wont go a miss. Was reading an interesting article over teams, there spending, players who have not fitted in etc. Fulham is a great example, and i have been following the U23's lately with interest, are we on the verge of another O'Leary era, young guns coming in and exposing the Premier league elite!!! we seem to have a lot of the positions covered, will this be credited to Orta's shrewd planning and buying? the academy system working? exciting times i think at LS11. Oh on a final note, will Warnock get fined for his comments at the weekend over the officials, i think he is spot on in his comments made, one thing for sure is we would of been, the FA are in turmoil and so irregular in conducting there actions in my view.
