    Good Morning Everyone

Carlos Carvalhal is the latest Manager to be linked to the ER hotseat. The 52 year old has recently parted company with Swansea City.

Is Carvalhal better than what we have at the moment?

As reported yesterday Leeds are trying to sign Citeh keeper Angus Gunn.

The 22 year old is more experienced than BPF having already enjoyed a very successful season at Carrow Road, BUT has Peacock-Farrell earned a stint in the starting line up next season?

Ronaldo Viera has joined Tom Pearce in the England under 21 tournament in Toulon this Summer.

You'll recall Viera struck the winning penalty to help the 3 lions to victory.

Unfortunately when Viera returned to Elland Road, he wasn't the same player again for quite some time...

Who would you rather have back in your starting line up?

    Noel Whelan or Jermain Beckford?

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

Carvalhal would be better on paper as he had a first great season at the Wendies and he spent money, but then the wheels fell off this season and he was sacked. he got given the Swansea job and got off to a flyer but the wheels fell off and they got relegated and he got sacked. he also refused to play Bartley because he thought Bartley wasnt good enough. Now I know many think Bartley is god but he couldn't get a game with a poor Swansea team for 2 years and has had 2 bad injuries. So yes I would go for Carvalhal but only if I couldnt get Big Sam, Big Mick, Moyes etc.

If we get Gunn it will be so that 2 young keepers bounce off each other and to be fair to BPF he isnt yet in Gunns league, but has the potential to do it. Gunn/City will require guarantees of a minimum number of games or pointless coming.

Hope Viera comes back fresh this time and hope Pearce is the same because these are young players who are not getting a break and in danger of burnout if not handled well. Viera was a mess when he came back and Thomas should have sent him on holiday to wind down before easing him back in and whoever is manager will need to forget these 2 for a while next season.

Beckford every day although love Whelan

Lots of stuff on social media from people ITK? Now remember that since Radz took over there has been a wall of silence until a player is announced. Rumors circulating from inside ER is that there will be a huge signing in the next 10 days. Looking at this you would have to say its bollox as the club dont leak, or have the club leaked to keep fans off the back of Radz. Also 'huge' means a big signing not a run of the mill overseas league 2 player, but a recognised name. Why 10 days? well that's the date when contracts end for freebies, so could be Hernandez 1st June back from holiday? or its the usual Summer folly

Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull quite cool Bardsey
I hope you are right about a big named signing and not Gerry Can
Gunn would fit in well and maybe with a buy in clause his father was a great goalkeeper for Norwich
Hernandez as turned down a Russian club so apparently we are in the driving seat as usual his agent is greedy so the deal could be scuppered
Joe Bryant would cost too much Gavin Whyte on the other hand would be cheap
Not sure about Barkley he gets injured too much Collins could do a job for us for at least 2 seasons and is free
Still like to get Marriot and Madison

Beckford for me and Carvahal would be better than PH but then most managers would!

morning all. I cannot see the need to sign a keeper to replace Bailey he is the best goalie we have had for some time.

Morning all! My thoughts are that if we were going to make some big name signing + a raft of promising / talented players and not the usual rubbish, then surely PH would have gone by now. I think Radz has followed the Cellino model probably a lot closer than some of us think. Hockaday = Heckingbottom.
TC was the scapegoat when Orta was getting it towards the backend of last season. The 'Heck' looks like another scapegoat waiting to happen IMO and I wouldn't hold out much hope for any major signings as long as he is here.

The thing about Hecky is that he was at ER most of last week for meetings. He is still here even though he has now gone abroad on holiday so those who thought it would be announced after the Josh fight were wrong, he's still here. Yes there are stories still circulating that he will get the bullet but its not happened and yes the bookies are still going with Staam and then Big Mick and now Carvalhal but Hecky is still here. It now looks likely that he got a big stick up his arse last week and warned he better get the team performing. He will have discussed transfer targets, agreed the retained list and then gone on holiday. Clearly Radz doesnt want a media backlash again like he got for sacking Thomas. Hecky is the luckiest manager around until he puts out a team.

Anyone else heard the story about Rob Greene release and Wagner now wanting Felix to replace him? Wagner is German and knows Felix?

Morning Doc, Carlalhal has had a lot of posts in his Managerial career. I'm not sure whewther he would represent stability at Leeds! (imo)

Really well said about Viera, he was completely burnt out, but what can we do to ensure this does not happen this Summer?

We can keep our fingers crossed on Hernandez...

    Morning Mike (and Moe)

Citeh can buy anyone in the World, do they care about home grown talent - No!!! I agree Mike, I'd love to get our Scouts all over their reserves / u23's, not just Gunn.

Morning WCD, I think BPF has been playing out of his skin, and in time will get batter and better, but I also think that his form will dip slightly / even itself out, and he needs competition for the number 1 jersey. Lonergan and Wiedwald don't offer competition...

Morning all, Carvalhal doesn't inspire me, better than PH yes but still need better.

The solicitor deserves his chance to start as number 1 next season but we need better back up. There are more pressing needs
    .

I think Vieria is a great talent but certainly lacks consistency, still young so time for that to improve, we still need another CM imo. Forshaw, Vieria and a n other to fight for the 2. positions.

    Beckford.

Is it possible that this ‘big signing’ is Tom Pearce? Morning all by the way.

    Good morning Matt & Everyone

No thank you. Carlos Carvalhal is becoming another journeyman

Unsure how good Gunn is. I do believe Peacock-Farrell has earned his first-team place, difficult to fault the young lad when so many around him should be taking the flak for last seasons fiasco!

Good luck to Tom & Ronaldo

Beckford is a hero in my eyes

Oh for a striker at Leeds who sits on the shoulder of a CB then does him for pace consistently slotting the ball into the onion bag

Problem with BPF is, while showing great potential, and popping in some good performances, he's also still inexperienced, and it has been obvious since he kicked Weinwald out of goal. That's not being disrespectful to BPF, by now he should, by all counts be more experienced than he is.

With our recently past keepers, I'm continually suspect about our keeper coach not being able to do the job properly. Any keeper who continually stays on his line is not getting the right coaching.
