Good Morning Everyone Talks are underway to bring Toon shot stopper Karl Darlow to Elland Road in January. The arrival of the 28yo would certainly keep Peacock Farrell on his toes. To give this story more credence, Darlow himself is keen for the move to LS11. Staying with rumours, Victor Orta may have identified Saiz replacement! Brentford Midfielder Lewis MacLeod is out of contract at Griffin Park in the summer, having made over 40 appearances for the West London club. The 24yo has been one of Brentford's best players this season. Leeds will face competition from Steven Gerrard's Rangers. As you are probably aware by now, Izzy Brown hobbled off during Leeds disappointing U23 display against Barnsley at Thorp Arch yesterday which Leeds lost 2-0. Leeds were quick to point out that Brown had a tight hamstring, and it had nothing to do with his knee injury that has sidelined the 21yo since January.
Morning all... I just don’t understand why we quite often take a player on loan who is injured. When Blackman got injured we sent him back, Izzy has been a waste of everyone’s time including the physio and medical staff. I’m not having a go at the lad, it’s just obvious he is injury prone and we could have had a loanee who might have made a difference
Morning all Transfer speculation will now be rife due to Saiz leaving. But one transfer that will deffo happen will be a keeper and right now Darlow seems to be favorite and some stories insisting that the clubs have spoken about a loan to buy? Anyone seen any messages from Leeds Utd players to Saiz on social media wishing him luck? No me neither which clearly shows he was a bad egg in the dressing room. Will be good to get some clarification of the actual deal though because it has become obvious that Saiz will deffo not ever be coming back to Leeds, even though right now we own him. I can only surmise that we have agreed a contract that forces Gatefe to pay Leeds £6.5m in the Summer. Would also like to get clarification on if there was a loan fee as I have seen stuff where no fee was paid and we are still paying his wages and have also seen £450k and £500k loan fee and they pay his wages. have to say I have never seen a deal happen so fast out of the blue and with as much secrecy attached to it. The Saiz character was quick to pledge loyalty to his new club and has closed all links with Leeds and Yorkshire, and not one mention of Leeds or his former team mates. ****er is all I can say right now
Just a thought on Saiz... I hope him asking to leave means any chance on a promotion bonus or wage increase is void
Good morning all One finale thaught on the Saiz saga from me,so dissapointed if it's true on Docs post above, and i'm sure it is,as the fans realy took him to their hearts and could be heard singing his name on many occasion, havn't a clue what's wrong with the lad,as like everyone else only heard rumours & hearsay,it's so disrespectful to the fans the attitude he seems to have taken with the them & club alike
Here's a thought. usually at this time of year we discuss the merits of bringing in a big Mick, Bruce, Big Sam, Moyes etc. Nobody has even thought about these managers for months and all because we have the maestro who Pochetino, Pep and many more top coaches were inspired by or taught by.
Can't see Darlow,at 28, wanting to come here to be number 2 to BPF, so are we chasing a new number 1. There was a tweet off Jansson, saying something like, Leeds aren't about 1,2 or 3 players, it's all about the team. Many taking that as a dig at Saiz. The injury Brown has, is one that is difficult to come back from, looking like February at the earliest now, a Saiz replacement is a must now. I just wish Brown, Baker and Harrison could be sent back tbh.
The 3 loanees plus blackman have all, in my opinion, been a complete waste of time and effort. I really can't see the value in taking on crocked players in the first place and the others just haven't got it This seems to have filtered through to the management based on the number of u23s named in recent squads I really do think we need a proper replacement for saiz and one that does not arrive with a sick note
Interesting piece in the papers about Marcus Antonnson who is hoping to score a couple against Chelsea in the Europa League next round. Antonnson has scored 10 in 14 games for Malmo since being released by Leeds. They don't question Bielsa's decision but do question his replacement in Tyler Roberts. Would Marcus have been a safer bet that an injured Roberts? maybe has a point.
Good Morning to Matt and co from a very damp and wet Bardsey Well it appears we have received a 500euroloan fee for Saiz with 6m euro to follow at lkeast that does make sense he obviously thought he was bigger and better than the team What a tremendous weekend we have just had only one team apart from us won WBA so we amassed either 3 points or two points over our rivalslets hope its the same next week Darlow is no better than BPFI WOULD sooner have Westwood Gomez or Reach to replace Aloski that is a poser I wonder what they want for Reach? When will Ayling be back I hope by the new year
Good morning from manc services. A new number one keeper is on the cards its an easy choice. Brown is useless to us and as ive said all season he may never be fit. I just hope we do not waste this golden chance to buy a midfielder who is better and what we need. Ive moved on from spit as he no longer exists to me. I have no faith in harrison and baker but fear we are stuck with them. Coupled with orta four year contracts draining the coffers its looking bleak. I would go for experience and pay top wages To loan one even from prem.
OH NO the news i have been fearing, ffs they can p**s off, sooner they look elsewhere to get another manager the better.
I’ve thought about who we might need a few times with the thought someone from the PL might come knocking, specially now a Merry-go-round will probably start with Jose getting the sack
There is no chance that Man U would come looking for bielsa... it’s a cultural fit from hell. And if they did I don’t think he’d go.... which seems a crazy thing to say in the mercenary world of football
