Good Morning Everyone According to The Times, Bielsa sent a 20-year-old intern to allegedly spy on their Championship rivals! That involved the youngster visiting the local pubs of their upcoming opponents so that he could mingle with fans and the local media. It’s intention was to gauge how fans would react during matches, whilst also attempting to observe opposition training. There is still absolutely no evidence that suggests the young intern broke into the training ground. You remember that Lampard accused the lad of hiding in the undergrowth with bolt cutter on him? Again - complete fabrication. Derbyshire Police found a pair of secateurs in his car! Who doesn't have a pair of secateurs in their car??? Hadi Sacko scored an absolute screamer on his Turkish Super Lig debut yesterday Sacko fired in a sublime effort from 25 yards out to help earn Ankaragucu a 3-0 victory over Kasimpasa. Apparently he'd been saving this strike up for 24 years! Carlos Coberan’s table topping U23s are away to Sheffield Wednesday at 11am this morning. I'm sure we all wish them well! Swansea Manager Graham Potter had his presser a day early and revealed that tup scorer Oli McBurnie is a major doubt for tomorrows crunch game at Elland Road. The ex Leeds youngster has 15 goals and 4 assists to his name this season! Second top scorer Celina is currently on 5.
Morning all Not bothering with journalist speculation as its just made up **** to sell papers. Sacko scored a worldy but as one wag said yesterday that he once got a hole on one on his local course but since then has struggled to hit the green, never mind get it close. Sorry Sacko, but hope your career takes off but never back here. I see the press have been chasing Marcus Antonnson and using bits of quotes to make a story. The jist is that he was Cellino's man but couldnt get a game because Wood was scoring, then a new owner and sporting Director come in and make it obvious he wasnt wanted, so he was forced out before being able to show what he could do. Yes Marcus got a raw deal but he had every opportunity to show what he was capable of in pre season. Thomas played him in 5 games and although he got himself into position he wasted countless chances. In my opinion that showed he knew how to be a goalscorer but didnt score in 5 games when he was by far the most chances created and attempts but failed. Then Ekuban scored a goal and all of a sudden Caleb was in and Marcus was out. Marcus is having a great season and scoring and I wish him luck but you have to take your chance mate, you didnt. Be interesting to see who plays against the Wendies U23s today There's also a presser with Bielsa at 12;30 which means he wont be watching the U23s
23s about to kick off Brown playing but others to watch are Hossanahl, Gotts and Kun with Edmondson probably getting in on the action later in the game
under 23s are still 4 points clear with a game in hand (today) so can move 7 points clear if they string it together again today
0-0 half time and fairly even which means Corberan will change things around for the 2nd half. Brown took a knee in the back which hurt him but he took it and walked off at HT stilll rubbing the small of his back but moving fairly freely now,
Believe it or not but I got a reply from the EFL! Dear Norman Thank you for your email. As you are aware, on Friday 8 February, the EFL Board (*excluding representatives of the Championship) considered the matter of the incident in the vicinity of Derby County’s training ground on Thursday, January 10. Following a comprehensive review of all available evidence, it was determined that there remain a number of areas that require further exploration and clarification and these investigations will take place at the earliest opportunity. An update on this matter will be provided following receipt and analysis of those subsequent enquiries and until this point no further comment will be made. The initial statement, released on 15 January, included reference to the relevant regulations, and can be viewed herehttps://www.efl.com/news/2019/january/efl-statement-leeds-united-and-derby-county/. Sent: 09 February 2019 09:42 To: '[email protected]' <[email protected]> Subject: Leeds United "spygate" fiasco Mr Meaden, I just wanted to contact you directly to express the disgust that many Leeds supporters feel at your Spygate update yesterday. It said nothing except that you were unnecessarily prolonging the investigation, which we, the media, and supporters of other clubs recognise to be nothing more or less than a bid to distract from and an attempt to derail the promotion of Leeds United to the Premier League. What are the charges you are considering, as no laws have been broken? If you have any evidence of trespass using wirecutters or just jumping over a fence, produce it. If you have any proof of bribery or other serious breaches of the law, produce it. If all you have to consider is a breach of EFL 3.4, it happens and is ignored every time a player dives (a real blot on our game), or one of our players is headbutted on video - twice this season so far, both examples ignored by you. If you insist on any draconian punishment against a club which has committed no crime, against a manager who is regarded the world over as honest to a fault, I hope the club fights your decision at every level through the courts, the European courts and the European Court of Arbitration for Sport. I’m sure they will be able to refer to many, many scenarios where worse cases of breaching you internal rules have been left unpunished. I look forward to any response you may have to an unapologetic criticism of your apparently biased attitude to Leeds United and how you generally administer the game I love. Well not a great performance, not a great match with 2 tired looking sides devoid of ideas. Brown went off at half time which will probably care some that he got injured, but my take is that he was always doing the first half and then available for the bench tomoz We got beat 1-0 today with a goal from Hunt with only Nicell backprotecting his goal still 4 points clear though
Thanks bud, I actually got the same sort of keek back today too, with some added BS about it being up to the FA to dish retrospective punishments for headbutts. Dear Dave, Thank you for your email. Any acts of player misconduct would be for the match officials to deal with at the time as they see appropriate. Should any incident(s) be missed by the officials, retrospective action may be taken following the game. In that sense any retrospective action or otherwise relating to player/manager/club officials’ discipline would then be taken by The Football Association (FA), as at their discretion. The FA is responsible for disciplinary measures within the game and they, “Ensure that the international Laws of the Game are applied on the field, and that the rules and regulations concerned with running football in England are observed by officials, clubs and players off the pitch as well as on it." Should you wish to further your query please contact The FA via https://help.thefa.com/support/tickets/new. Thank you for contacting the EFL.
