Good Morning Everyone It's transfer Deline day!!! We have until 5pm this evening to conclude any permanent deals. Loan deals continue until the 31st August. According to Phil Hay first thing this morning, Leeds remain in the market for defensive and midfield recruits but the club’s business looks likely to run beyond today’s permanent deadline! These are the rumours doing the rounds on transfer deadline day Leeds have made a 4.5m offer for Everton Midfielder Muhamed Besic. Millwall's George Saville 2m Oliver Norwood of Brighton 1.5m Matthew Pennington - loan Marcus Maddison from Peterborough - two clubs have activated his 2.5m release clause. Steven Caulker from Dundee - 1.5m Albert Adomah from Villa 3m If you hear any LUFC rumours whatsoever, we want to hear about them!!!!
Morning all.. We sold Vieira and Bielsa wasn’t entirely happy about it but it seems the board felt it was a good bit of business for someone who Bielsa had made clear was going to be warming the bench for the majority of the season. So I personally can’t see us making two signings unless they are both in the 1.5m bracket, surely the £4m bracket is our maximum spend otherwise we might as well have kept Vieira? We all feel defence is the most fragile area but again, unless we unearth another Douglas it’s probably not worth spending out on another bench warmer? For me I’ve come around to Pennington on loan, quite a few on here have pointed out a decent game or two that he had, Bielsa would have seen tapes of him but would he be allowed to join and sit on the bench? A gamble on Caulker would be my other choice, feel Klich is like a new signing in midfield, Baker and Forshaw still to feature, do we need another midfield player?
Good morning Matt & everyone I'll be surprised if we make any more permanent deals although I think a couple of loan deals are likely. I personally feel we require two more quality signings
I think we need to bring in either a player like Douglas who would be a near automatic starter or go the loan route if looking for depth. Very happy this season that we spent the budget on two quality players rather than 5-6 in a scatter gun approach.
Good Morning to Matt and co from a blue sky Cote de Bardsey Having had time to think I really would like Calker and at £1.5m we have a really first class prospect that if papered will produce goals and a solid defence Adomah at £3m would provide pace and goals the rest I will leave to you bt I bet therewill be a twist in the tale 2players at least will be going out OKane and Le Bokand later Ekuban and Anita I see that Danny Rose may be loaned or sold that would bring in extra cash
Yes I’d forgot this final day could be important for us with the exits too. Get rid of 2-3 and even if it’s a small fee, wages saved and money in the bank for a swift move in the transfer market come January
Leeds have put in bids for Adomah which would be great if we get him, but one I mentioned yesterday is a French striker Moussa Konate' and if we manage to pull that one off I think we have plenty of goals this season. caulker is a risk but I'm guessing the club know his history and should have things in place ready to make sure he stays off the wagon?
Morning Doc, according to sources, we have made a 4.5m offer for Konate. I didn't realise that Adomah scored 15 goals last season - bargain...
Morning ristac, I would rather we get a top notch defender on loan then an average one at 1.5m, though for me Caulker would be a no brainer.
Morning Leon, I'm not that concerned, yes we've lost Viera, but at present he would have been a more valuable player for the future. Boro have lost Adama Traore to Wolves for 18m, but have bought in Jordan Hugill on loan. Obviously they lost Bamford to us. Are they balancing their books I wonder?
Morning Mike, Caulker would be amazing... Looks like O'Kane is off to Chalton, though not heard anything about Ekuban...
Morning all. Long time since weve had a transfer deadline day that was promising to be positive. Long may it continue. Looking forward to seeing what performance we serve up against Derby
Konate' is a pretty consistent scorer over the last few years. Sion he played 93 games and scored 35 goals at an average of 2.6 games and Amiens in the French top flight he played 32 games and scored 12 goals at an average of 2.6. Even at International level for the full Senegal team he played 26 games and scored 9 goals at an average of 2.8. so very consistent
Morning Eire, I like the fact that we have been careful with our cash. We certainly have done well with our spending even if we should have got more for Viera.
Morning All Had internet troubles the last month so I've not been able to get online. Got agree Eire after looking round the tinterweb for a couple of days I'm more positive about this day than the last few
