Good Morning. It's Thursday 21st December, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Roma negotiate €5m fee for Llorente Roma have reportedly negotiated a €5 million (£4.2 million) obligation to make Diego Llorente's loan move permanent, according to sources in Rome. Llorente has been in great form for the Giallorossi. So far this year, the Spanish International has racked up 28 appearances, and has a credible 6.63 Whoscored rating. Not too far down the pecking order is Rasmus Kristensen, who, after a terrible start is starting to show some form. With 769 minutes of game, and a 6.45 average, perhaps Jose Mourinho will want to do a deal with him too. please log in to view this image Farke can use his influence to get Reds ace Leeds are reportly keen to bring Liverpool's highly rated right back Conor Bradley to Elland Road for the second half of the season. The 20yo Northern Ireland International impressed Jurgen Klopp during pre-season and earned himself a place in the first team squad, however, a bad back injury has meant that he is only now returning to action. Leeds face competition from Burnley for Bradley's signature, but could use the German connection to try and push the deal through. Jurgen Klopp and Daniel Farke get on well. In fact, during an interview several years ago, the Liverpool supremo named Farke as someone he would like to be stuck on a desert island with. If Leeds can land Bradley, does this mean that we'll be seeing Djed Spence continue to operate as a left back? It could spell the end for Luke Ayling and Junior Firpo! please log in to view this image Radz lost his nerve Jesse Marsch has criticised former owner Andrea Radrizzani for firing him, indicating that Leeds were only a few results away from moving in the right direction. Speaking to the the Daily Mail, the 50yo former USA International claimed that Andrea Radrizzani lost his nerve, and didn't give him the time to turn things around. “What went wrong is we were a couple of results away from really getting everything moving in the right direction and I believe that everything was already moving in the right direction. But in the end, the owner just lost his nerve. And he paid the price for it.” “Where I'm at in my life right now... I don't need a job,” “My need is to find the right job and the right situation and the right people. I'm still looking forward to being on the touchline again to being involved with teams and players again. So, I think this is a way to just keep me active.” please log in to view this image
Yes Radz lost his nerve but by sacking Bielsa. Marsch was probably the worst replacement the club could have sanctioned. It also proved to be the downfall of Radz and Orta. Marsch loves to bang his gums but maybe he should have taken another lesson from Bielsa who has never said one word about Leeds since leaving the club.
£4.5m for Llorente is a good bit of business so forget the clickbait headline that Leeds lose £14m on Llorente. Yes he said Ed for £18m but that fee written off over the initial 4 year contract so the books are clear in June. We have made over a million quid in loan fees and had is £6m salary paid in full for 2 seasons. He’s now 30yo and has a contract with us now to June 2026. Transfermkt value him at £8m so getting over half of that from Roma is good
Morning all. It's only when you look at that picture of the four muppets you realise the reason we are where we are. On the plus side they're mostly gone thankfully
Kinnear is a yes man Radz was led up and down the garden path Marsch believes his own mouth Victor is a chancer who is doing the same job at Seville Llorente is in a league more suitable for himself so showing reasonable form, same for the dane who is adapting better to the slower pace of serie A. hopefully our new regime can spot better recruits
