Good Morning. It's Thursday 17th July, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Rumours circulate that Stach has left Hoffenheim's training camp The race for Hoffenheim's highly-rated midfielder, Anton Stach, is heating up, with new developments suggesting Stuttgart have now entered the fray, aiming to hijack the deal and bring the 26-year-old back to Bundesliga. According to Sky Sports Germany correspondent Florian Plettenberg, yesterday saw new discussions take place between Leeds United and Hoffenheim. However, Leeds path to securing Stach's signature has become more complicated with Stuttgart's late emergence. The 'Schwabenmetropole' have not only registered their interest but has also held initial talks, signalling their intent to snatch the talented midfielder from under Leeds' nose. Hoffenheim are holding out for as much money as they can get for their prized asset, underscoring Stach's importance to the club and his perceived market value. He is widely regarded as a defensive-minded box-to-box midfielder, known for his robust presence and exceptional work rate in the engine room. His playing style combines defensive solidity with the ability to contribute to offensive transitions, making him a valuable asset for any team. Statistical analysis through FBRef highlights Stach's impressive defensive capabilities when compared to his positional peers across Europe's top five leagues. He ranks in the 93rd percentile for interceptions (1.65 per 90 minutes), showcasing his excellent reading of the game and ability to break up opposition play. His knack for clearing danger is evident in his 99th percentile ranking for clearances (3.65 per 90 minutes), demonstrating his efficiency in removing the ball from dangerous areas. He also proves his aerial dominance, ranking in the 88th percentile for aerials won (1.83 per 90 minutes), an invaluable trait for winning midfield duels and defending set pieces. Currently, Leeds remains in pole position to land Stach. This advantage stems from the fact that Leeds have already managed to agree personal terms. Overnight Leeds-Live have set the pulses racing with the headline "Leeds United handed Anton Stach boost as player 'leaves training camp' to complete transfer", yet the write up does in no way correspond with the story. We know Stach played 45 minutes of a friendly yesterday, but are totally in the dark as to whether the German International has indeed left Hoffenheim's training camp. It will be make or break today!!! please log in to view this image Leeds enter talks with Paixao Graham Smyth of the YEP has reported that Leeds have entered direct discussions with the representatives of Brazilian winger Igor Paixao, signalling a firm interest in bringing the talented attacker to Elland Road. He may only be 5ft 6 but has electrifying pace, exceptional dribbling ability, and a potent goal-scoring threat; and loves nothing more than to run at opponents. His versatility further adds to his appeal, as he is equally adept at operating on the right wing or even as an attacking midfielder, offering significant tactical flexibility to any potential suitor. The Whites' pursuit comes off the back of a truly sensational season for Paixao, where he delivered an incredible 18 goals and 19 assists across all competitions for Feyenoord. These remarkable statistics underscore his capability as a constant goal threat and a prolific creator of chances for his teammates. Intriguingly, Leeds United's interest remains undeterred despite Paixao recently suffering an injury during Feyenoord’s pre-season preparations. This continued eagerness to pursue a deal highlights the club's confidence in his long-term fitness and the value they place on his immense talent. Described as a dynamic winger, Paixao's playing style is characterised by his fearless attacking contributions. He boasts a formidable ability to beat defenders one-on-one, making him a nightmare for opposition full-backs. Furthermore, he possesses a good shot, contributing directly to his impressive goal tally. While primarily an attacking force, Paixao is also known to contribute defensively, showcasing a willingness to track back and win possession for his team, adding another layer of desirability to his profile. please log in to view this image Where would Paixao deal leave Ramazani If Leeds were able to wrap up a deal for Igor Paixao, could we be seeing the departure of Wilfred Gnonto or more importantly Largie Ramazani? The 24yo found minutes hard to come by last season, amidst swirling rumours that the Belgium ace had fallen out with Daniel Farke. Ramazani, an €11.7m buy last summer, started the season well, but ankle ligament damage last October saw him miss two months of action, and slipped down the pecking order. Speculation about laziness in training certainly didn't help his plight, yet early pre-season reports this summer suggest he has started strongly. Southampton and Rangers have both been linked with him this summer, though no concrete offers have been submitted. The Breakfast Debate spoke with Southampton FC journalist Alfie House recently. He loosely suggested that the South Coast outfit may be interested in Ramazani on loan, but you'd imagine Leeds would look to try and recoup the full fee - and that's not taking into account the 15% sell-on clause! please log in to view this image
Morning all. All these great rumours of impending arrivals on same days as new kit is launched to much acclaim by fans. 49ers stoking up interest in the kit, surely not
Morning all... If we get the 3 rumoured in by tomorrow night then happy days. New away kit is nice On to Largie I don't think it leaves him.any where as Burnley and Everton want Harrison so he'll be ****ing off
Morning all Paxio is out injured for 7-8 weeks, he’d need a few training sessions once recovered so we’d not see him playing in the first few games so some depth would be needed. New Leeds Shirt - I really like it and haven't purchased a new one in a good few years, can anyone tell me if the sizing comes up on the small side, I usually go for large but on occasion I have had to go XL
Paixao seems to becoming confusing apparently he agreed terms with Marseille earlier in the week but OM won't match Feyenoord's valuation, we've stepped in and offered what they want, we've not had contact with the player yet, perhaps that's what the Friday thing is.
Won’t be happy if Ramazani goes, i think he is a great prospect. I thought all yellow was going to be our second strip got a few seasons? Watching the Open golf and caddie Billy Foster is wearing an LUFC golf cap.
F A Rules Selection 11 Disciplinary part 54 Suspensions Notified on an International Transfer Certificate 54 Where The Association is notified of a relevant outstanding suspension on a Player's International Transfer Certificate, that suspension shall be applied to the Player with reference to the applicable number of First Team Competitive Matches, Non-First Team Competitive Matches, or other Matches. Normally if the suspension is due to accumulation of yellow cards, then different FA's don't bother sending a motivation upon transfer. If it's because of a red card then the national association where the suspension occurred, may inform the national association of the club that a player has transferred to, of the intended suspension. So basically if the Italian FA said Biljo is under suspension when the transfer was completed, then the EPL will abide by the suspension.
Hopefully see the Longstaff announcement today followed by Stach over the weekend. Paixao would honestly be a masterclass of a signing, Harrison will be sold, James will play on the right and then Gnoto and Ramazani will be for the squad depth/competition/injuries/cups.
