Good Morning. It's Thursday 16th November, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Does Struijk want Brugge move Respected Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri has stated that Pascal Struijk is interested in a move to Club Brugge, in the New Year. The Jupiler Pro League outfit were expected to make a move for Struijk in the Summer, but a bid was never forthcoming. In recent times, the 13 time Champions have slipped down the pecking order, in what is considered to be a moderately poor league. They currently sit seventh (out of 16), after sixteen games. Struijk, 24, has been in sensational form this season, earning him both the ER Captaincy, and plaudits all over social media. He has attracted the attention of high flying Tottenham Hotspur in recent times, yet according to Tavolieri, a return back to his homeland is his preferred choice. To add insult to clickbait, Tavolieri states that Leeds would be willing to do a deal at €15 million (£13.1m), £2.6m less than he was worth during the Summer. Considering he is contracted until the Summer of 2027, it is highly unlikely that Struijk is going anywhere. please log in to view this image 49ers ready to flex their financial muscles in January Football journalist Mark Douglas believes that 49ers Enterprises are ready to flex their muscles in the January window, and back Daniel Farke as he looks to secure promotion back to the promised land. After a difficult Summer, which saw a mass exodus of first team talent scrambling for the exit door, Daniel Farke has managed to rebuild a squad, arguably better than their previous campaign, for a fraction of the price. £26m was generated during the Summer, thanks mainly to the sales of Tyler Adams and Rodrigo; whilst Joel Piroe, Ethan Ampadu, Ilea Gruev, Glen Kamara, Karl Darlow and Sam Byram were all bought in as reinforcements (and Djed Spence and Joe Rodon arrived on loan). All in all, Leeds made a nett spend of around £3.5m, which according to Douglas puts Leeds "well within Financial Fair Play parameters". Should they want to, Leeds can bring in as many as three loanees, yet have the capital to invest on top talent should they wish to do so. Whilst another centre-back must be at the top of Farke's wish list, where else would you like to see Leeds strengthened? According to Douglas “Now the club’s new owners, the 49ers, have their feet under the table, you suspect January will see Leeds flex their muscles in the transfer market. They are well within Financial Fair Play parameters and are currently within touching distance of the top two.” please log in to view this image
Good news guys,Adrian has recovered from the world's worst ever foul and is available on a free, what do you think.
So we've made Struijk captain, his performances have gotten better as the season has progressed and we're willing to sell him for less money than he was valued in the summer, with 3plus years remaining on his contract. Next
As regard January, I seem to remember the club saying after the summer window closed, that they will be looking to explore the loan market with buy options and depending where we are, also looking to strengthen areas that are deemed necessary to push for promotion. Obvious areas are LB, CB, and a proper 9.
Afternoon all We’ve a good enough squad to win promotion so holding onto players in January is more important to me than buying new ones. Other teams will have the same problem as us with their better players being offered around by their agents
The one's we have left, can't force through a move,so don't think we will lose any unless we don't want them, would get rid of Gonto myself, been a waste of space.
I’d keep him. He is coming back from a broken ankle so maybe he’ll start playing better. If he doesn’t I’d keep him just to piss him off for a little bit longer. Should we go up we can demand a higher price for him.
more time to look at holidays .... just booked a cruise yesterday out of boredom .....not till February though
Plus last year, when he played well it was on the left hand side. Since his reluctance to play and his injury, he has been played on the right, and thus his performances have not been the best when going forward, but he has done some good defensive work. Maybe next time we do our substitution of wingers, we put Gnonto on the left and Anthony on the right, and see if either do better or worse.
Georgia beating Scotland. Lol. Scotland were flying until England put them in their place. They've lost 3 in a row and heading for their fourth.
Evening all. Struijk's going nowhere (much to Emu's dismay) and neither is anyone else. We're in with a heck of a chance of bouncing straight back up so no disruptions is the order of the day
I think we all need to keep in mind that we’re in the middle of the international break so stocking fillers are needed.
