Good Morning. It's Thursday 10th March, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Trio to return tonight against Villa During yesterday's pre match presser, head Coach Jesse Marsch admitted that Diego Llorente and Adam Forshaw have overcome their respective niggles, and may be in the starting line-up against Aston Villa tonight. The American coach also admitted that Patrick Bamford will play hit part tonight, but is unlikely to be in the starting XI:- "Yeah, I think they're both (Llorente and Forshaw) possibilities from the start. And certainly close to 100%. And Adam Forshaw told me he hasn't felt this good in weeks. So I think he'll be absolutely ready for the match tomorrow and Diego as well. Diego had a small muscle issue. But it kept him out of availability for the weekend. But he was in full training today and he'll be ready as well". Patrick will play for sure. Tomorrow, he won't start but he will be ready from the bench. And we're excited to have him back in the team. And I think he can give us a real boost. please log in to view this image Aser is 100 per cent committed to Leeds United and is here to stay Speaking at the Financial Times' Business of Football Summit, Leeds Utd board member Massimo Marinelli has publicly declared that 'Aser Ventures' (Leeds Utd parent company) remain 100 percent committed to the club, and have absolutely no intentions of selling up anytime soon. Marinelli plays a major role in Andrea Radrizzani's affairs. He joined the Elland Road board last May, and is also the chief executive officer at Aser Ventures. "The 49ers are a strong partner of ours, and they have been investing and increasing their stake, as is public, over a certain period of time,” “Aser is 100 per cent committed to Leeds United and is here to stay. There was some press speculation around what may or may not happen, but at the moment the focus is on what it is the club needs. "The 49ers relationship is very, very open and is also about what sort of things you can bring to the club in terms of additional commercial opportunities and commercial knowledge. "They have a strong team behind them and our relationship with them, Paraag [Marathe], Jed [York] and the team is ongoing daily, we have daily conversations with them on what we can do to improve the club. "They have gone through the process of developing a stadium, they have a very strong business and analytics team that will be very useful when we think about growing revenues, so there is a lot of opportunities to do more, which is also at the core of when you hear about multi-club strategies." please log in to view this image Marsch defends post match huddle Jesse Marsch has defended his post match huddle following the final whistle at the King Power Stadium last weekend. The American got his players together in a huddle on the pitch as he spoke to them about their performance, and gave words of encouragement. This grew criticism from certain areas of the media that believe his actions should have been saved for the confounds of the dressing room! Marsch his back saying:- “Yeah, I’ve done that in different moments, after games the media comes for the players straight away, and it’s almost impossible after the match to have the whole group together. The attention around this small conversation with the group, I find, frankly hilarious and ridiculous. Whatever, maybe people don’t see that here, I’ve done it a few times in my career in positive and negative moments,” please log in to view this image
Ditch the cringeworthy post match huddle and the equally cringeworthy pre match kneeling. Just concentrate on what they’re paid to do - play football.
Good morning everyone.. Lovely warm day here. So the 49ers are just going to keep their shares in the club and gain what?. Load of bullkrap if you ask me. Why would they keep a minority stake so rads could make even more money. Who are these board members on rads side?. Why pay them but not invest in the squad. Bielsa made the squad what it is in terms of size and quality. An unbalanced bunch incapable of following his strange tactics. Tonight i hope to see some more round pegs in round holes. I do not believe we are relegated if we fail to win tonight. Just scrap for every point until the final game ends. If we go down then what's the problem. We can have a clearout of the old guard. Then use the best of the u23s and money from player sales to rebuild. Then gain promotion with a far better squad. Stay up and we need to keep the best players and invest in some quality.
Have to agree with lots of American networked sports who are having a go at UK journos slagging JMs huddle. They call UK journalism out as being bigoted, racist anti yank bullshit and the pits. Been saying it for years and we watched them wait to have a go at Bielsa and have dived straight into Marsch already. Lets face it our media love Gerrard and Lampard
JM said after the Leicester game that he could see a couple of players heads drop when the final whistle went and wanted to nip it in the bud. So he organised the huddle while they were all together.
If they think that about a bit of teasing about a huddle… lets hope they never visit the politics thread.. or whatever it’s been renamed to Whichever, i hope they’ll review their opinion and decide we’re awesome and wish us a nice day etc. not a fan of the huddle personally - thank the fans and do your huddle in the changing room, would be my preference. But it’s nothing really… i saw he said it was to grab the moment before the media grabbed the players so fair enough. I’m far more interested in his coaching ability, man management and tactics and set up, than trivia like this. Early days but like what I’ve seen from him so far. If we stick it the Villa he can huddle and cuddle all he likes.
Just seen it - can’t sell anything… tickets, or merchandise… and most importantly can’t sell the club nevermind
One of the reasons why the UK has been attractive to overseas investors is due process and law without arbitrary freezing of assets on a ****ing whim. We've just screwed our own economy. But hey... its all part of the WEF plan.
Don’t forget the Gerrard huddle at Victimpool after they won and thought they had a chance of winning the league the bewildered thug thought he was something else, fkg detest scouse and anything connected with it.
Even Phil Hay said this morning that the UK media were waiting for Bielsa to fail so they could use their saved up snide remarks about him having no clue, couldnt speak English, not really a world class coach…. And now have weighed straight in on Marsch because he got the Ted Lasso barb in before them last week. Our media is shyt
I honestly couldn’t care less about the huddle, if that’s what the man thinks is needed then do it. He’s the manager at the end of the day and if he has different ways of motivating players then go ahead.
Didn't like the huddle. Reminded me of the Hull bollocking. Saying that, when he explained the reasons (needed to talk to the players before they were all split up by the waiting press) it made sense. I also didn’t like him doing the Leeds salute so early on. I get what he was trying to do but he needs to get a feel for the club, City and fans before banging the salute out. Other than that he has been pretty darn impressive thus far.
Chelsea will turn up here with no fans, bonus. At the end if the season Christianson will join Barcelona, Rudiger will also now leave on a free too plusnthat dirty Spaniard Azpa…. Another freebie to Barcelona. Chelsea will lose out of contract players and not be able to sign anyone. Chelsea will struggle for a top 6 next season
wouldn't mind rudiger......put him in some stocks outside gelderd end so fans can throw rotten eggs at the horrible cnut
