Good Morning Everyone Daniel James' proposed transfer to Elland Road in the Summer has hit the stumbling blocks after it was revealed that 5 of the top six in the Premiership have all enquired about the Welsh International. Did Leeds do enough to wrap the deal up at the earliest possibility or did they deliberately drag their feet so to add to the intensity of a marquee 11th hour signing? Would James have made the difference during the second half of the season? Phil Hay has revealed that Bielsa is waiting on the fitness of Tyler Roberts before naming his team for Saturday. Should Roberts not recover from his ankle knock, Bielsa will field the same team that lost at Ipswich! Thoughts? Radrizzani is considering renaming the South Stand, the Jack Charlton Stand. Thoughts? None of the 14 Leeds player that have been out on loan this season would be eligible to play in the play offs, even if Bielsa wanted them to play! Regulation 53.1.4 states: “A player whose standard loan expires (or terminates) at the end of the season of the transferee club but prior to the completion of the league matches of his parent club (where it is a member club) will not be eligible to play in any remaining league matches in that season.”
Good Morning to Matt and co from adull Bardsey Dan James fiasco showed we had no money whatever way AR put a spin on it I fear that deal is dead The 2 finalists are both disciples of Bielsa lets hope it is our turn to shine and it shows that attacking football really does pay off .Pity we have no decent strikersRyan Edmundson could be a real prospect
Morning all James might have made a difference but unless we get promoted we’ve lost him, we should have done more to secure him earlier in January
Morning all Presser today with Bielsa and Pontus so should hear confirmation that Roberts is fit. Jack Charlton played over 700 games for the club didnt he? so for me yes name the stand after him. Dan James was a fiasco moment of the season but lets not forget that we still have a video of him in a Leeds shirt playing keepyupy at ER. Too many blame the club when the facts clearly show we did a deal with Swansea and even changed the deal 3 times over a few days to make sure it happened. It was a rogue director who is no longer at Swansea that pulled the plug. James wont forget his time at TA and ER that day and the respect he was given by the club, so think it can only help our claim and we know it takes 2 to tango
Good morning from a balcony on zante. Cant say im looking forward to the play offs at all. As for the summer if rads does not sell more shares then we will be a selling joke once more. We only have to lose and we know how to do that. I predict us a mid table champ club next season.

Would James have made the difference during the second half of the season? Cash was the problem, if AR had offered the full £10m in January James would have been a Leeds player but all this £2m now and then 20p a week for the next hundred years cr4p cost us and in my mind cost us dear as with him in the team for the second half of the season (replicating his swansea form) we would have easily got 2nd spot.
Morning All, I'm not sure that the south stand is tall enough to be called the Jack Charlton stand, perhaps the East Stand ?
Why oh why does everbody, including our own fans, have to look for the negative Leeds aspect in every story. The deal with Swansea was agreed, including the payment terms, and then Swansea reneged on the deal as the chairman, now sacked, felt the club were selling too many players
Morning all. Not going to comment anymore on the Dan James fiasco. If people take off their rose tinted glasses, they know exactly why we didnt get him. As for our current situation, lack of quality in the squad has destroyed us. Dont care whos to blame, Rads, Orta, Bielsa or all three. Doesnt matter. Its a fact. Some of first team simply not good enough and subs definitely not good enough to effect and positive change when needed. Hence the likes of Harrison starting almost every game. Would he have gotten into the Norwich or Blunts teams? Not likely unless they had some injuries. This club is too big for our owners yet again
If we'd have offered more cash at the start of the deal James would have been ours, simple, regardless of what the Swans chairman thought (re too many players leaving) more cash would have sealed the deal earlier, thus not allowing last minute hitches.
It's just common sense. Mid January, you say to Swansea here's £10m for Dan James, they say yes, James says he wants to come, few days later no confirmation of the signing, Leeds say to swansea, the deal needs to be done by x date, or it's off.....easy, swans chairman f*cks about, not answering phone or whatever, then Leeds call the deal off, instead of waiting till 5 to midnight on deadline day and then having the piss taken out of them by someone who's not going to be in a job the next day.
You seem to have the inside track there, with all the information to hand, you must be some sort of wizz!
Seems people forget the facts in this transfer fiasco. Fact 1.in November stories emerged about Leeds looking at £2m rated Dan James. Fact 2. In late November there was an argument on this board about Dan James being valued at £2.5m and was he worth it and why are we chasing Championship fodder again. Fact 3. fact 2 was caused by a story in the media saying Swansea were trying to cash in and wanting £2.5m now..... Since when was he ever valued at £10m, I'll tell you it was because Leeds were desperate to get him and allowed the deal to have add ons that would raise his value to £6.5m. The £10m was actually paper talk on the deal where another add on could be playing for England.
One further comment. Was James the only available in the world that would have improved the team. Of course not but we dont have a pot to piss in as usual. Ah well, at least weve only three more years penny pinching till the next scrooge rolls in with his potty. Some people just dont want to believe whats in front of their eyes. Supporters take all forms from the pessimist to the realistic to the optimist and the hopelessly optimistic. Im in the realist camp
