Good Morning Everyone Leeds have introduced a third kit, and fans on social media are going crazy for it. Personally, I love it, and so does Jansson!!! What do you think? please log in to view this image What is your favourite kit of all time? Leeds United - Top Players after 16 games Goals: Roofe - 7 Appearances: 4 players - 16 Assists: Klich - 5 Shots on target: Roofe - 11 Completed passes: Cooper - 722 Interceptions: Cooper - 33 Successful dribbles: Saiz - 25 Clearances: Cooper - 76 Blocks: Alioski - 31
Morning all, the Cooper stats surprise me, just shows why he is picked I guess. I’ve always preferred our away kits to be in yellow. A nice looking kit and a timely release ready for Christmas, it should bring us in some extra dosh for January.
Good morning Matt & everyone Haven't got a real favourite but I do prefer to see Leeds playing in a all-white kit as much as possible. I also loved the stocking tabs gimmick of the 70's I detested that gold kit Interesting stats there which do not feature our three best players......Hernandez, Phillips & Jansson
Evening all, Rating of players isn't a science, it's more of an art and some ratings don't address what contribution other than shooting, goals or tackles the player makes but an independent rating of our players this year generally agree with your views except for Phillips. Personally I think he makes a really positive contribution but this doesn't always show up in the stats and ratings. The best kit, the one we win something in.
Morning all.....first time on for a couple of days, got roped in to doing some decorating for our daughter, all done now thankfully. Love the new shirt think I'll ask Mrs10 to get santa to bring me one. Favourite kit was the Nike "strongbow" home shirt.
Love stats, like this and it demonstrates the difference between key players in key roles. Strikers Roofe scores every 118 minutes Roberts scores every 201 minutes Midfield Pablo scores every 182 minutes Alioski scores every 465 minutes Klich scores every 264 minutes Assists Roofe 414 minutes Pablo 182 minutes Alioski 465 minutes Klich 264 minutes Roberts 604 minutes Therefore Pablo most valuable asset with Klich close behind and Roofe by far being the most consistent striker who also adds to the team. Demonstrates where Alioski needs to improve
Here's a question for you all: there are stories that Bielsa isnt happy with his wingers. We know Alioski actually does a lot more than be a winger but he has struggled with end product. Harrison exactly the same and after a very positive start at Leeds he isn't delivering on the promise he has. This has meant that stories are now coming out about players like Ibai Gomez who has played under Bielsa and is wanted by half a dozen La Liga teams. So the question is: Do you buy a player like Gomez Do you make Harrison deliver on his talent Do you use Pavel Cibicki Cibicki comes back next month after being one of a handful of our players out on loan who actually shone. Winger Cibicki played 16 games, scoring 4 goals and creating 6 assists.
Stats can be so misleading Pontus missed our first five games Hernandez missed eight games I reckon If you were picking your best CB, would you go for Jansson who has played for his country in the last World Cup or Cooper who can't even make it into Scotland's poorest international team. Not knocking Coops as he's proved me wrong under Bielsa shrewd management & I would hate to be going into matches without either our classiest CB Jansson or Cooper right now even if we had Berardi & Ayling available to us Same with our midfielders, on this seasons form it has to be Hernandez & Klich over Saiz every time, both consistently score goals & create assists which isn't the case with our little Spanish wizard
You can’t really compare Pablo stats with klich say. Pablo’s job is to create and score. Klich’s attacking contribution from midfield with typically Saiz and Hernandez ahead of him is excellent. Also needs to be remembered how misleading assists can be as a stat. Saiz for example will often pay the killer through ball through for someone else to square it to Roofe... for example. Although his form drifted, Saiz was instrumental in a lot of our goals. Not bigging him up, (he messed up countless passes as well) just a caveat on ‘assists’
Another factor ... Roberts had to play without Hernandez in the team, ie played in a side missing it’s greatest creative influence
Milky agree but when you only have stats published by one source you can only make assumptions based upon them. I can say with confidence that if cup games were included Bamford gets the best striker stats. The club employ there own statasticians and analysts so they will have criteria devised for the squad and be specific to each player and job and would be interesting how they compare Saiz, Klich, Pablo for example because Saiz on this data gets 2 assists only but like someone said earlier the killer balls he plays is then usually finished off with an assist for another player
Next week theres a training match between the first team and the U23s. So first team will be without Internationals so it will be a good and very interesting game.mwonder if anyone can just turn up and watch?
Todays prezzer Bielsa said he thought it was difficult to bring in new players in January. When pressed he said we have 4 players coming back in January Bamford, Beradi, Brown and Ayling. He said it may be that the club have a different view to him though. Bielsa is the master of diplomacy and tact and never lets anything slip, even though we know he and Orta watched Kitching at Harrogate last week, we know he sent yet another person to watch Prijavic and Ponce in Greece last week (New post in transfer sticky) We know he has been to watch Luton Town to look at one of their players 3 weeks ago. So I think something will happen?
The assists is always a grey area where stats are concerned, scoring from a corner the assist goes down to he who took the corner, you might take 10 awful corners one then gets scored from and you’ve an assist to your name. Equally you might put 10 pin point passes to the feet or head of your colleague who screws up and misses and you’d have zero assists.
With OLOF connections in the Leeds ___ scene,I'm sure Kenneth from Benidorm on tv can sort him a new one.
