Good Morning Everyone Leeds look set to unveil an attacking midfielder from a Premiership club today. The rumours doing the rounds suggest it's Izzy Brown from Chelsea. The 21 yo attacking midfielder / winger spent last season on loan to Huddersfield where he made quite an impact. Unfortunately the Chelsea starlet suffered knee ligament damage which ruled him out of the second part of the season. As if by luck, on the day Leeds announce that they are to sign a Premiership attacking midfielder, Brown sends his first tweet in over a year. The announcement is due today, so not long to wait. Peter Ridsdale turned up to watch the Leeds - Preston game midweek. There has been a video posted on social media of somebody verbually abusing the 66 yo. The rant involves someone at least half Ridsdales age launching a full verbal assault on our ex supremo. We are all to aware of the mistakes Ridsdale made, but almost twenty years on, does he deserve this? In my opinion Ridsdale always TRIED to do the right thing for Leeds, thats more then we can say about Bates and GFH surely? Thoughts?
Good Morning Maestro and his posse from a slightly cool Bardsey Izzie Brown will be a great aquisition for us and Matt sorry to tell you but he played for town the season before and then was loaned out to B rightonwhere he suffered a serious injury so I hope he has fully recovered as we all know about our curse It seems we are after a free agent Yasim Ben El Mharki who left Newcastle and at present he is having a trial with Brentford Met Ridsdale several times during our last campaign in Europe and he got me tickets for the games I believe his heart was totally in Leeds he introduced me to his board who acted more like lap dogs to him.He was in sole charge it was that obvious so he had to take the fall but yes he meant well just got carried away so does he deserve abuse NO mike
Morning all, Risdale took a silly gamble it backfired, Bates and GFH are a long way clear in the lead for most hated, I would say I don’t want to see him at the ground but no need for the in your face abuse. The whole ground singing he is unwelcome, that’s different. Not a clue on Brown or where he will fit in or who he will cover, as long as Bielsa has run the rule over him and said he wants him then that is fine with me. I agree with Mike, his heart was in the right place, just his head was somewhere different.
Morning all Ridsdale was cursed by his own Leeds Utd super fan views. He was coerced into making huge mistakes by DoL. Remember it was Ridsdale who got the club back out there and firing above our financial station. But Ridsdale started to lose control at the same time DolL got a big head. Remember DoL saying it was hard to perform at the top with only bronze and silver standard players, we need to some gold standard. So Ridsdale broke the bank for him, only to be let down by DoL who was now in suits instead of the tracksuits that got Leeds to the top and DoL handed the reigns over to Brian Kidd whos just a twat. Hoping for 2 signings and can see the Brown kid being a great addition, but lets hope we don't lose anyone from Bielsa's set up
Morning all. Agree Risdale tried to do the right thing but was clearly an idiot who shouldnt have been in charge of a sweet shop let alone a top footie club. Obviously still doesnt realise the feelings of Leeds fans towards him or he would never appear at Elland Road again. Were still paying the price of his ridiculous gambles and irresponsible behaviour. Without his carry on, we would never have had Krasne, Bates, GFH or Cellino at the club so hes basically responsible for the entire fiasco
Morning Doc, well said. Let's not forget O'Leary's 'dealings' with infamous agent, Rune Hauge which cost the club millions when DOL when over Ridsdale's back
Morning all..agree with you ristac. Ridsdale let his heart rule his head & his ego got too big but he meant well. Regarding incoming loans, whoever it is, if he/they are wanted by Bielsa then that's good enough for me.
The Buck stops with Risdale. There could have been many other factors but thats the business. You take the glory or you take the fall.
