Good Morning Everyone Both Leeds and Bolton have been charged by the FA of not ensuring their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion, It will be interesting to see whether Klich gets any further punishment due to the fact he squirted water at one of the Bolton players. Only weeks ago, Norwich and Ipswich were charged with the same offence. Norwich were fined £25,000 whilst Ipswich were fined £20,000. Dave Hockaday has been speaking to the Guardian about his 2 month stint at Elland Road. According to him, he tried to sign Andre Gray from Luton Town, however then owner Massimo Cellino said he was “too much”. Hockaday also revealed he tried to sign Virgil van Dijk, Craig Cathcart and Conor Coady but Cellino dismissed the suggestions as he wanted to add young Italian talent. Speaking at the post match presser the other night, Bielsa stood fast and announced that the Whites drop in form had nothing to do with energy levels! Speaking at his press conference after the game, he spoke bluntly Your question doesn’t have any basis because if you watch the game you can see this team has lots of energy and you are telling me if the team lost energy. "What our team has shown in every game is we have an excess of energy. It’s clear you don’t know what you’re talking about because if there’s one thing this team doesn’t lack, it’s energy. If you look at the figures, if there’s a problem this team doesn’t have it’s a lack of energy, even if we have problems as all of the teams." "It’s not an opinion because you just have to look at the figures to draw your conclusions." Over 6,000 fans have renewed their season tickets ahead of next season, perhaps in the hope of seeing the Whites play in the Premier League. Are you going to renew yours?
Morning all, Bielsa is spot on and it's plain to see. The energy levels are as high as ever, as is the desire and commitment. If this reporter, or anyone else for that matter, questions that, then they quite clearly don't know what they're talking about. They have no idea. The one ingredient missing at the moment is a lack of finishing off the numerous chances being created. Everything else is in place. The more Bamford plays the sharper he'll get, and the missing ingredient will be added. Apart from Roofe, who may be back for the final few games, we have a fully fit squad available. I've no doubt we will emerge as the strongest team in the run-in, but if we do fall short it won't be because of a lack of energy or desire.
Morning all.. I’m glad Bielsa snapped at them, this energy level thing is pure bollocks. Half the team haven’t played due to injury this season then you get the likes of Alioski who’s played just about every game still full of running as well as the oldest we have in Pablo who never stops. Bamford, Roberts, Harrison those were the three worst players for me against QPR (admitted Bamford could just need to get sharper) and they’ve hardly played this season, they should be as fresh as a daisy.
As Forza says if we fail it will be through lack of quality not commitment and energy. This team has never been able to put out its best team once this season due to bad luck on the injury front. We either need Bamford to start banging them in or for the likes of Klich, Harrison, Pablo and Roberts to start scoring again. One alternative would seem to be more promotions from the U23s with Edmondson looking lively as hell, Stevens, Bogustz, Gotts etc Players will be feeling the weight of the world right now and its all about dealing with it. They didnt deal with it London so better sort themselves out now and go and win games
Morning all. Not long now till we know what rest of season is likely to hold. If tomorrow is more of the same tippy tappy among defenders and pub league set pieces then were in for another poor night. Players need to wind the clock back in every way about three months. The three Ristac mentioned need to step it up several levels. I see our former owner Mr Cellinos team Brescia are leading Italian Serie B. Apparently they are the longest serving team in that division so he must be learning
Somewhere in deepest darkest Cheshire a steam cloud erupts, in Wakefield a building is seen to shake to its foundations. Voices can be heard. “They don’t care”, “they didn’t try (except izzy, he kicked a few people, so he was trying)” I agree 100% with you forza, but it’s a view that seems to divide opinion! As for whether we’ll turn this around? I think it’s entirely possible but not a certainty. There will be twists and turns to come.
Morning all Well we knew that under Bielsa's guidance it would be one hell of a ride, smooth some of the time bumpy on the other, were certainly in a bumpy patch at the moment, hopefully now hitting a smoother piece of track for a descent run in (starting tonight) which will get us over the line in first or second. N.B lose this and i think be better start concentrating on the lottery which is the play offs.
Also at the beginning of the season, how many of us fans would take this position we are in now,at this stage of the season,i think all of us. We have been spoiled by our earlier season scintillating football and wondering where it wen't?who kows, but now it's time to grind out our results.WE CAN DO IT.
Bielsa has been fantastic Bielsa has built the club again with the Academy and teams playing football and winning This first team of losers will make the play-offs at worst and how many thought that back in August. Radz has been good for the club but we need a wealthier owner Enjoy the ride for the last dozen games without slitting your wrists
Only enjoyable while were getting results though. Crap defeats or missing out on autos would not be enjoyable at this stage for anyone. Unless Im the odd one out that hates Leeds struggling or losing[/QUOTE]
Think that’s a fair assessment doc. I completely get people’s frustrations and emotions running high after disappointing performances and defeats. We’re close to the promised land, it feels like we missed an opportunity to strengthen in January which adds to the frustration when things don’t go well. I just think the reactions are over the top. We’re a good side, we have a way of playing and we try and impose it. Other teams have learnt their counter measures for it so it’s harder than it was at the start of the season...we’re not clicking as we’d like at the moment, but we’re still the equal or better team in pretty much every game. We’re not as sharp as we could be in the final third and we leak some soft goals. That’s us most games.
