Good Morning. It's Thursday 23rd April, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Leeds have the best away supporters - Its official

    Its official....

Leeds have the best supporters in the land!

Online Sports Media outlet ''Givemesport' carried out an online survey across the the football league to find out who the best fans in the Country were!

24% of responders voted the Whites, twice as many as Manchester United in second place.

Here’s the full set of supporters ranked in full:

    1. Leeds United (24%)

    2. Manchester United (12%)

    3. Newcastle United (10%)

    4. Liverpool (5%)

    5. Aston Villa (4%)

    6. Sunderland (3%)

    7. Birmingham City (3%)

    8. Sheffield Wednesday (2%)

    9. Chelsea (2%)

    10. Coventry City (2%)

    11. West Ham United (2%)

    11- Arsenal (2%)

    13. Tottenham Hotspur (2%)

    14. Everton (2%)

    15. Portsmouth (2%)

    16. Wolverhampton Wanderers (2%)

    17. Middlesbrough (1%)

    17- Manchester City (1%)

    19. Grimsby Town (1%)

    20. Crystal Palace (1%)

Why is it that Leeds have such a fanatical away support?

If unrestricted, how many tickets for away games could Leeds sell (on average)?

    Fitting tribute to Norman Hunter

Leeds United have announced that the South Stand at Elland Road will be renamed in honour of club legend Norman Hunter.

It's a fitting tribute to a true legend, who collected 726 appearances over a 14 year period for the Whites

Along with the Don and John Charles, Norman Hunters legacy lives on as he becomes just the third person in Leeds history to have a stand named after them.

Fair play to TransUnion, the current sponsors of the South Stand. They gave their full backing and support to the renaming of the South Stand in memory of a true legend

Norman’s wife, Sue, said: “As a family we are touched by the club's decision to name the South Stand after Norman and we would like to take this opportunity to thank the supporters of the club and the game in general for the amazing messages of sympathy we have received in recent days. Finally, once again we would also like to thank all the doctors and nurses and everyone in the NHS who supported Norman too.”

Radrizzani, added: “Naming the South Stand after Norman is the very least we could do to recognise the lifetime of hard work and dedication he gave to our football club – firstly as a hugely successful player and secondly as an ambassador for Leeds United.

“Norman was respected and loved by everyone connected to the club and as we battle through uncertain times it is unlikely that he will be able to be given the send-off he deserves and therefore we expect the South Stand to be bouncing when fans are finally allowed to return to Elland Road and pay their respects to a giant of the game.

Premier League commit to conclude season by July 31st

As reported in the media, after lengthy meetings with UEFA, the Premier League along with all their European counterparts have committed to ending the season by July 31.

This will allow UEFA competitions to restart after this date.

Surely, there is not a hope in hell that the Premier League fixtures will be completed in time; and this being the case, what impact would this have on the chasing pack from the Championship?

Well, the EFL have made a massive demand of the Premier League – They are demanding that three go down from the Premier League, and three go up from the Championship, whether the season is finished or not!

They maintain it is a legal agreement and they want it enforced.

It was also reported that there would be a “blocking minority” against just promoting Leeds and West Brom.

Just been reading a discussion elsewhere about naming the East stand and who it should be named after. There was a suggestion of calling it the Ken Bates stand <yikes>

    Good morning.

Rightly or wrongly it looks like we're on the way (slowly) to resuming life. Taylor Whimpy workers are going back to work, B&Q is reopening and it's looking more and more likely that the schools will be going back at some point this school year after all.

Great move renaming the South Stand although I am wondering if I will ever get to make use of next years season ticket there.

It's the impartial BBC and their Liverpool supporting chief football writer McNulty. Great to hear he has recovered though
