Good Morning Everyone A 2-0 home win at the Riverside keeps the pressure up on Leeds as Boro close the gap at the top of the Championship to one point. If we think this is pressure, what is it going to be like in April? Leeds Utd scouts were in attendance as Barcelona’s Under-19s won 2-1 against PSV in the UEFA Youth League yesterdy afternoon. It has also been confirmed that scouts from LS11 were also at Girona 3-2 Celta Vigo on Monday & Valencia U19 v Juventus u19's. It is believed that Cristhian Stuani, Iago Aspas, Pione Sisto and Stanislav Lobotka are on Leeds radar! Ross McCormack is heading back out to Australia to put pen to paper on a loan deal with A-League side Central Coast Mariners. Interestingly the former Leeds man might to playing alongside Usain Bolt who is on trial with CCM. James Milner has been speaking to FourFourTwo about his father's influences. Obviously Leeds fans are brought up to dislike Manchester United, as rivals, so red wasn’t allowed. 'I didn’t have any red shirts or anything, and the first time I ever wore it was probably for England. 'He did joke when I signed for Liverpool that it was the first time he’d be happy to see me regularly in red.'
Morning all. Misplaced the damn passport after the holidays, the big search is on today with mrs Eire in charge. Edit, panic over, passport located
Morning all If there is a big push on taking on more kids from Europe it can only mean one thing: Recently you will remember that Radz said we had to offload some of our kids to cut the wage bill as it was way too high at the academy. Some have been moved on and some have been loaned out or sold, so if we are looking to bring in a few top kids it can only mean they will be replacing the likes of Dalby, Stevens,, Clarke, Edmondson, Nessy, Shakelton who become full first team members. Unless the scouts are specifically looking to cover in only a couple of positions as a couple of kids move to first team? Stats has just mentioned an interesting fact that the last 10 visits to ER by Birmingham we have had 10 different managers. Venebles, Reid, Carver, Grayson, Warnock, McDermott, Redfearn, Rosler, Monk & Jepson/Jones in 2013 when Warnock was sick
McCormack has had a holiday in Australia for a couple of years now simply because he's a greedy fat cnut. I have no sympathy with players like him who have used a couple of good seasons to fleece 4 different clubs. I know a footy career is short but the wages this guy is on has killed his career in the UK and Europe so hes actually just picking up a wage for doing nothing for over 2 years now. His career was doing ok when we picked him up (Grayson) Cardiff 72 games - 25 goals which is a goal every 2.8 games or 34% Leeds 144 games - 53 goals which is a goal every 2.7 games or 37% Fulham 89 games - 38 goals which is a goal every 2.3 games or 42% Villa 20 games - 3 goals which is only a goal every 6.6 games or 15% Forest 7 games - 1 goal a goal every 7 games or 14% Safe to say his big money £12m move to Villa saw his career end in real football, and upsetting Steve Bruce isn't a good look especially when you haven't done much in football, unlike the manager. He scored plenty of goals in the ozzy A league last season on loan at Melbourne, but a Mickey Mouse league and now he's going to play for Mariners back in the A league with Villa hoping to run his contract down I will go as far as say that if he hadnt been a greedy cnut and stayed at ER we would have been a lot further forward in terms of squad, league etc. yes we got good money but never saw it in replacement
Morning all No pressure in April - we’ll be 10 points clear of 3rd by then Pity Boro ground out a win but I have them backed to be promoted this season so can’t complsin too much Excellent performance from Millwall though, only marred by Norwich getting a late winner, or they’d be bottom 3 this morning.
Morning Matt and all Boro were very likely going to be top 2, so no shock, it is 3rd place I'm more concerned with, we need to put a decent gap between us and that. McContract as become a bit of a joke now, good for us and his kid is Leeds so he's ok by me. Milner will be our first signing when we go up next season, Delph second.
Actually I hate it when that happens. Worst one I had was a few days before family trip to US I realised my driving licence had been sent off for renewal. Ended up getting it couriered out to Boston before the driving part of the holiday started - nightmare
Evening All, Not only is he going to be turning out in the A League, he will be playing for the team that finished at the bottom of the league last year with 4 wins in 27 games.
Good Morning to the Sherriff and his posse from a sunny Bardsey Mc Contract lived about 5 homes from me and will not be missed rather a rude man apparently I am getting my things together as Moe and me are going touring around Scotland as I can't get insurance for anywhere out of the UK without paying an arm and a leg for it .For example Canada £1300 for 2 weeks our holiday won't cost that! Just hope the wind dies down by Sunday as we will be travelling to Ayr to see the electric Brae
Bloody eejit I meant was it age making the insurance expensive. I ask because we go to the US a lot and it would be a blow if hitting 70 or whatever suddenly rules it out for us
