Good Morning. It's Thursday 10th September, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road. Leeds swoop for Dutch Winger Summerville Leeds look set to complete the signing of Highly rated Dutch right winger Crysencio Summerville from Feyenoord for £1.3m. The lightening fast 18yo has exceptional quality, and its only because the youngster is in his last year of his contract that Leeds are able to snap him up at a bargain price. This will end a twelve year association that Summerville has had with the Rotterdam based club! Whilst I'm sure this transfer may actually annoy a few Leeds fans due to the more pressing concerns of first team transfers, be assured; Summerville will be knocking on the door of the first team shortly! please log in to view this image Leeds accept 20k fine for FA breach involving pyrotechnics Leeds fans on social media have been reacting to the news that they have been fined £20k after ‘admitting a breach of FA Rule E20’ following their use of pyrotechnics after securing promotion at Pride Park in July. Originally the club were fined £30,000, but this was reduced to £20,000 due to the mitigating factors that "no one was threatened or endangered by the conduct", "no one was injured", and there was "immediate admission and apology" from the club. An FA Spokesman was quoted as saying: "It is alleged that the club failed to ensure its players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion as pyrotechnic devices were used following the conclusion of the fixture." please log in to view this image Leeds line up Palhinha incase of Gvardiol disappointment Lisburn news outlet E Bola are claiming that Leeds have enquired about Sporting's holding midfielder Joao Palhinha. The 6ft 3' powerhouse has been a long term target of both Wolves and CSKA Moscow. Is is understood from the Portuguese media that Palhinha would far prefer a move to the Premiership, and now, with the midland club cooling their interest in the 25yo, Leeds are in prime position to swoop. Sporting Lisburn are demanding €15m for the versaille defensive midfielder who can also play at centre back, and with the Josko Gvardiol deal stuttering, it looks like Palhinha could be Leeds back up plan. He spent last season on loan at Braga, his second consecutive loan spell there, scoring six and assisting three in 76 appearances. please log in to view this image Drexler deal looking unlikely However keen Leeds and PSG seem to be to put a package together to bring German International Julian Draxler to Elland Road, it seems their efforts are in vain as Drexler does not want to give up his Parisian lifestyle as his family are settled in the French capital. Now it seems, Arsenal are going to try their luck, and are prepared to offer midfielder Matteo Guendouzi as part of the deal. Is it back to the drawing house for Leeds? please log in to view this image
Morning all... I thought prices for players would correct themselves and drop after Covid, it seems to be the opposite
Morning all Yet more of who were not signing & more of who we might be signing, just bored with it now. Just two days to the big kick off, can't wait C'MON Leeds whoever the starting line up may eventually be.
Morning all. Do you know when the Bielsa press conference is due? He usually releases the team during that doesn't he? Has there been any confirmation of who is taking over from Corners?
Good Morning to Matt Doc and co from a sunny Bardsey I would like to see the young polish player Bogusz to be brought into the team he was exceptional this weekand knows where the goal is are you watching Barndoor I am tired of DEPaul and his antics go away and pester some other club as you obviously think you are too good for us
Morning, I don't think it's de Paul messing us about. From what I've read it's his club Udinese who keep raising the asking price. If he's agreed personal terms, as has been suggested, there's not much more he can do tbf.
Morning all All feels a bit flat on the tranny front simply because focus is on Liverpool Saturday. Chuffed about Jimmy Sumerville as he looks the dogs and think we have spent quite a lot of cash on kids this Summer. There is a lot of depth and bottle and skill inside the academy, and the boss at Stanley said the kids battled to the end and only lost 2-0 in the 2nd half. It could have been many many more but the kids fought and showed some brilliant skills and had a 16yo captain. The experience will have been good for them. Obvious we are not finished in the market yet and we may get a surprise or 2. More interested in the squad for Saturday and would love to see Kiko missing which would mean he was leaving
Money spent so far not including Harrison loan fee: £65.1m Helder Costa from Wolves £16m Illian Meslier from Lorient £5m Joe Gelhardt from Wigan £1m Cody Drameh from Fulham £800k Charlie Allen from Linfield £500k Sam Greenwood from Arsenal £1.5m Rodrigo from Valencia £26m Robin Koch from Freiburg £13m Crysencio Summerville from Feyenoord £1.3m
Morning Mike. Hope you, Moe and your son are well. Yesterday, a Leeds fan tweeted De Paul yesterday asking him when he was joining Leeds. De Paul 'liked' the post
My exhaustive research of one YouTube video tells me Jimmy looks like one of those old school, quick tricky one-footed wingers. History tells you sometimes they make it sometimes they don’t, but seems to have something and worth a punt.

nobody can know that because each deal is different and I suspect each major deal will be spread over 3 years, but remember the Rodrigo deal will have been a huge chunk up front because they couldnt pay wages. The lesser deals for kids will be all up front and again Wigan need the million to pay wages whilst in administration.. This is the same for every club and every club gets reported by media for spending x when in reality its usually a thirdof the total because of staged payments, but then factor in earlier transfers from the last couple of years where stage payments still needed. A good example of that is Bournemouth whereby this Summer they needed to find £30m just to pay outstanding staged payments
