Good Morning. It's Monday 23rd December, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Referee Tim Robinson - You are a disgrace Leeds winless streak in London extended past the two year mark as twelve men Fulham climbed to third in the table. Fate struck the Whites a massive blow as early as the second minutes when influential playmaker Hernandez hobbled off with a hamstring injury, and was replaced by Alioski. Five minutes later, the Cottagers were ahead. Ben White outmuscled Bobby Reid to head a clear a cross and to the bemusement of 22 players, and every football pundit on the planet, the referee pointed to the spot. Although Casilla managed to get his finger tips to the ball, their was enough pace to go in, off the post. Leeds were deservedly level ten minutes into the second half having dominated in large periods of the game. Nketiah's fierce drive was palmed away, and there was Bamford to collect his 10th goal of the season. Unfortunately, it was not going to be Leeds day. Ben White failed to clear a rare Fulham corner, and Josh Onomah scrambled the ball home from 12 yards. Is Bielsa too much of a gentleman We all love Bielsa. The way he has revitalised Leeds is nothing short of a miracle, but as a Manager, is he too professional? Yet again at the weekend, he refused to criticise the referee when blatantly, it was clear to all and sundry that Leeds had been cheated. I'm sure we all remember Fergie. Any decision that went against his team, he was happy to pick up a misconduct charge, as he knew referees would think twice before awarding a big decision against his team in the future, whereas Bielsa would much rather blame himself rather than criticise the man in black. If the team don't make a song and dance about a referee's conduct, he is free to get away with it whenever he likes? please log in to view this image Bielsa's Post Match Press Conference Che Adams on Leeds radar According to the media, Leeds have registered their interest in Southampton Striker Che Adams. The 23yo was in blistering form for Birmingham last season, which attracted a lot of Premiership interest. Finally South Coast outfit Southampton agreed a 15m fee, and rewarded Adams with a five year contract at £50,000 just five months ago. Unfortunately for Adams, he has fallen behind in the pecking order, having not found the back of the net in seven appearances. Liverpool Striker Rhian Brewster remains first choice, but it seems both Swansea and Huddersfield have a headstart on Leeds. With Mikel Arteta taking the reigns at the Emirates Stadium, Nyetiah's future is still up in the air. One thing for certain, do do need to strengthen in a weeks time! please log in to view this image
If Che Adams is in the same frame of mind as last season, he would be a perfect fit for us, seem to remember a lot of his goals were either on the edge of or just outside the box, something we are lacking. Probably get slated for this but I believe Nketiah is a good player but not the right fit for us, I think Saturday's performance showed this. Referring on the whole is poor, not sure it's just us that gets them but Saturday's was as bad as it gets.
adams would be great and send eddie back he is not ready yet.or if a miracle happens and bielsa puts three strikers in the matchday squad.cant see it happening can you.we desperately need a creative midfielder most of all.people are saying we have enough mids but Pablo is crocked as is shaks and adam two games and six months off Forshaw.so obvious where we need some quality.
That time of year again and Che Adams might be a real target and so too might the Brewster kid from Liverpool as a loan deal. However it seems one story thats been doing the rounds and seems more likely is the 23yo Sam Cosgrove from Aberdeen. Last season he scored 21 and so far this season he has already scored 20. Leeds scouts were at Parkhead at the weekend to see him score against Celtic and have had him watched a few times so far this season. A big unit this lad and born in Beverly Yorkshire and part of the Everton Academy, This is a more realistic deal as it will be a proper sale and at a decent price. Adams will be £12m minimum and Brewster would be a loan. This kid seems to know where the net is and has a presence in the box and scores with head and both feet
Morning all. Never a penalty but if you put your hands on the back of an opponent then you give the ref a chance to make that poor decision. This time last year we’d just beaten Villa away 2-3. In the last two games we’ve had our goals conceded take a hit, we’ve lost our nice run of clean sheets and the winning and unbeaten streak has been ended. Let’s hope it is the end of the blip, if we can put another unbeaten run together of 6-7 matches then we’ll be going up. I blame that damn manager of the month award
Is he a big unit by our standards 5ft 8 and seven stone or by say Fulham’s standards 6ft 3 and 16 stone?
6'3" minimum but stands head and huge shoulders above his team mates. Our forays into Scotland have so far dug up shyte, but Stuart McKinstry our latest young boy looks the part so far and I also believe this kid has the same agent as Kalvin Phillips. He left Beverley and moved to Cheshire as a kid and went to Knutsford Grammar and the reason why Everton picked him up. This has still got legs but now hearing Stoke, WBA, Bournemouth and more are into him too
Think problem with Scotland is the big two make it look a better league than it is. Not convinced the rest of the Scottish pl are much better than League 2 ’standard. Maybe WJ will share his opinion on this
agreed but if this kid scores against 2 of the top 3 including Celtic and plays for one of the top 3 and has for a couple of seasons? He will be more experienced than Brewster or Eddie in some respects and Celtic are also chasing him now. I remember the last time we thought we had a top Scottish striker he was a waste of space and now back in Scotland, so not getting carried away. If this happens it'll be because Bielsa and Orta want it to happen
Don't know much about this bloke, & don't subscribe to the L2 suggestion, personally. I note that he's done bugger all in his prior career in england. Scored 1 goal in 3 years. His stats do look good these last 2 seasons. I'm also guessing if it's that easy to score in Scotland, everyone would be doing it. But they're not! Pretty sure Bielsa will be aware of his headlines, & if he is indeed interested, he'll be analysing like only he can do.
