Good Morning. It's Monday 20th February, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road You're not fit to wear the shirt Leeds plummeted into the bottom three over the weekend, with an inexcusably poor performance against fellow strugglers Everton. From kick-off, the Whites looked devoid of idea's, disjointed in formation and rudderless at the helm. The only goal of the game came in the 64th minute when Seamus Coleman's cross come shot whistled past Meslier from an angle that even Einstein would find difficult to work out. It was nothing more than the Toffee's deserved; they dictate the majority of the play, not allowing Leeds a solitary short on target all afternoon. Leeds most entertaining move of the match came just before half-time when Tyler Adams assaulted Dwight McNeil. McKennie and Gnonto also got in on the act, before a mass brawl ensued. Their attempts for early baths were in vein however as the referee only dished out yellow cards to the American pair. The final whistle came as a relief to many Leeds fans, who were subjected to 90 minutes of absolute garbage. please log in to view this image Why aren't the fans turning on the team 2803 travelling Leeds fans finally had enough at the weekend, and turned on the Leeds Utd hierarchy (much to the annoyance of Victor Orta), but are they directing their anger at the right people? Whilst many believe the club have never recovered from their lack of investment during the Summer of 2021; they have at least tried to make amends. Since last Summer, Leeds have spent in excess of £150m. Most of the signings, at least on paper, have lived up to their price-tags up until recently. The players are seriously under performing, to such a degree that it's puzzling why the fans haven't turned on them? They earns more in a week than many of us do in an entire year, yet manage to escape blame. I can understand fans not wanting to effect the confidence of the players by booing, but surely they need a kick up the arse? Saturdays performance was inexcusable, and with 15 games remaining, results need to change, fast. please log in to view this image Do we want Skubula in charge at the weekend The Goodison Park fixture proved too big for Skubala last weekend, and ended up being one of Leeds poorest performances in recent times. Nobody can blame the interim Manager, he's been at the club for only six months, has never Managed even a league side, and has been thrown in at the deep end with no buoyancy aids. Up until a few weeks ago, the fixture list looked fairly encouraging, but we are now at the stage that unless Leeds get three points this weekend against bottom club Southampton, we might as well resign ourselves to Championship football next season. Can Skubala see us through to the Summer, or do we have to appoint somebody else NOW? please log in to view this image
Everyone of those players should publicly apologise for that shoddy performance. We are really on a very slippery slope now and I am struggling to see how we get out of it this time.
Morning all. More or less burned out stating the obvious except its obvious where well be next season. Nailed on relegation. Two wins in twenty and were talking about winning cups and six league games from last fifteen and not one person in charge of either boardroom or coaching the team with a clue what they're at Summer will be critical. If were to attempt to rebuild the current board need to be gone. They wouldn't organise a piss up in a brewery and it will continue to be one blunder after another if they remain. Incidentally, is Kinnear asleep in that photo of Ells
Without Meslier’s moment of madness we’d all be saying it was a well earned point from a scrappy battling performance. Fine margins. To put it in perspective, only a couple of weeks ago Everton managed to beat top of the table Arsenal - without the need of a goalkeeping error.
We wouldn’t because we can all recognise a garbage performance when we see one. Not one thing about that was acceptable in my books
Morning everyone it's time a new scapegoat was brought in. I just hope it's someone who tells it as it is to the board and players. Rads and co will be lining up the excuses if no one will take us on. But we all know the truth and have heard it all before. Why was Orta at Everton and not trying for a coach?. Was it because of his ego which is huge. The man loves himself the lucky chancer. He has failed and should be sacked but Rads is just counting the clock down till he sells up in the Summer. If he can find money for pointless signings like rutter then he can afford a coach. He is off I'm sure and is already counting his millions.
0-0 without that error and a point from a garbage performance would have sufficed. After all we’ve had plenty of decent performances and no points to show for them.
Morning all. To those that think we're down already then ' why don't you just switch off your television set and go and do something less boring instead '. That will leave those of us that know we're in one hell of a relegation dogfight, but still with every chance of getting out of it to buckle up for the roller coaster ride of supporting the mighty whites. 15 Cup finals to come and as usual it will be predictably unpredictable.
Morning all We’ve a good squad that lacks guidance and has done since January 2022 I hope the players don’t throw in the towel as easy as our supporters are. All to play for and that includes the FA cup The board have one decision, who to appoint as coach
Morning all Some players need to have a rethink about their value to the club, and Bamford is deffo one of them. Since his selection for England he has done nothing for this club and missed most of last season and been pretty pointless this season. He then has the arrogance to say to Marsch; I’m sorry I wasn’t available for you. Well Paddy you are available but a waste of space right now. Harrison should have been sold to Leicester for all the good he’s done recently too. if Skoobs is still at the helm he really needs to drop a couple
It has certainly crossed my mind. Im in unbelievable bad form at the moment. It's all a result of the Leeds crap but it's beginning to spill over in my communication with family members and customers. Not good and your suggestion will be seriously considered Jammy. Thank you voice of reason as always
Unless we get a strong coach in it will be very predictable. Let's see what happens this week perhaps rads will actually get something right for once.
That's why I chose not to watch us against the scum and picked this one. Although I didn't think we'd be second from bottom. It's going to be a nervy day, but we are at home and hopefully this will work to our advantage.
