please log in to view this image Good Morning Everyone. It's Monday 5th October, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road. please log in to view this image Its Transfer Deadline Day. No transfers can take place between Premier League clubs or with foreign clubs after 11pm tonight. Domestic transfers (both loans or permanent) between Premier League and EFL clubs may take place until October 16 at 5pm. With hours only remaining until the transfer window slams shut (excluding deals from lower domestic leagues) will Leeds land the players Bielsa wants to launch a full out attack on the Premiership! The Whites have already added the likes of Rodrigo, Diego Llorente and Helder Costa but have wasted significant time in their pursuit of Josko Gvardiol and Bayern star Michael Cuisance. Sources close to Elland Road suggest there could be a couple of surprises today! Whether that means incomings out outgoings - nobody knows. If you hear a rumour, however insignificant - We want to hear about it!!!!! Brazilian Raphinha is flying in from France to complete a deal for Rennes. The 23yo winger only joined the French outfit a year ago for 18m. It is believed a 5 year deal has been agreed. Leeds have until 16th October if they wanted to sign Norwich City's Todd Cantwell. The 22yo midfielder has been continually linked to a move to Elland Road with a price tag of 21m being mentioned. Leeds are still interested in Levante’s 27yo midfielder Jose Campana, but are playing hardball at €15m. The La Liga side are looking for a fee of around €25m Dan James was left out of Manchester Utd''s squad yesterday as the Red Devils were thumped 6-1 at home against Spurs. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's main target continues to be Bayern Munich's Jadon Sancho but the German Champions want 107m. It would certainly reduce the financial burden if Leeds were to pay 25m for the Welshman who joined them form Swansea last Summer for 15m
Morning all Raphinah will be here shortly for his medical but he also needs a work permit so hopefully it gets done today Yasser Larouchi may just happen too, hes the young LB from Liverpool who wants away and Leeds have liked him for ages, it depends on priorities as he will cost only £1.5m Cant see Jose Campana happening as too much back and forth. Gone queit on Nahitan Nandez though so that could be good or bad news. Benrhama mentioned a lot in recent days, have Brentford decided they need cash so reduced the price? Buendia would still be better than Cantwell for me but what do I know, but any of these deals can happen after this window closes up to 16th.
I think we can forget Benrahma if the £6m per annum wage demand is true. I'd be underwhelmed if James came in for £25m,there must be better for that money. Agree with Doc, Buendia looksthe better player of the Norwich 2. Obviously just my opinion and would have total faith in any signing, as long as it was Bielsa's choice of player.
If raphinah comes, can’t see buendia or Benrahma happening. pretty sure we’re still chasing a midfielder
Morning all Raphinha would be a good signing for us, but think we are in more need for a creative midfielder as Pablo is not getting younger and a LB/LWB
Hopefully we'll get Raphinha over the line today. After that it would be down to domestic transfers which we would probably get ripped off for over both transfer fee and wages. I think Benrahma is the best domestic player we've been linked and the one I'd want the most but I also see it as the least likely due to the expense and possibly his attitude. In terms of out goings I wouldn't be surprised to see Douglas go.
They've taken him backwards and want more money for him. They're trying it on to raise the extra money for Sancho. Who really should stay at Dortmund.
Morning all, What a weekend of football. Are we only allowed to talk about transfers on today's breakfast debate?
Morning all. Bloody hell, what a weekend of football that was !!! In other news, Cuisance to Marseille apparently a done deal, all he has to do now is pass the medical.
Quite excited by Larouci from Liverpool. Obviously for U23's but has good potential. A steal at 1.5 million. I hope one of the surprises is Kent.
9:17 Leeds' Dan James pursuit at an end please log in to view this image Simon Stone BBC Sport Leeds United worked incredibly hard trying to bring Manchester United winger Dan James to the club over the last few weeks. A move for James famously fell through in January 2019 when the Welshman was sat at Elland Road waiting to sign a contract after already passing a medical. He subsequently moved to Old Trafford but wasn't even in the squad for yesterday's 6-1 defeat by Tottenham. Leeds offered to take the player on loan or make a significant bid for a permanent transfer such is manager Marcelo Bielsa's appreciation of the player but at all stages, their approaches were rejected. Leeds had one last attempt over the weekend - but again the answer was no. Article Reactions Like 46 likes46
