    Good Morning Everyone

It is claimed that Kemar Roofe is demanding £30,000 and a four year deal to stay at Leeds next term.

Last seasons top scorer has only 12 months on his contract, therefor putting the 26yo in the driving seat!

Should Leeds sell him or if 30k a week good value?@

If they were to sell him, how much would they get for him?

If Roofe were to move on, one player that is being constantly linked with a move to LS11 is Saints Sam Gallagher.

The 6 ft 4' Striker was on loan at Birmingham last season scoring 13 goals!

Spanish journalist Rubén Serrano posted that Leeds scouts were present at the Real Madrid Castilla (Real's reserves) game against Cartagena over the weekend.

    Real won 2-0.

Good Morning to Matt and co from a sunny Bardsey
Roofe is not worth 30k and it will disrupt his team mates. How much time has he spent on the sidelines?
We were probably watching Bale play for the reserves!
    Roofe is worth about 10m
Hart you can keep Westwood or Macarthy for me

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

Roofe deserves a new contract but does he deserve parity with Bamford? Bamford was the most expensive player Leeds have bought whilst Roofe was bought from Oxford Utd. Up until this season nobody knew where Roofe's best position was because he was bought as a winger. I dont see Roofe as a premier league player therefore a 4-year deal would just be money down the toilet especially if we bring in another striker and he is 3rd choice. Yes a pay rise is deserved but realism required.

The Castilla match was a play off for promotion and looking at the team sheets to see if any of our kids were on loan - NO so maybe a potential target being watched.

    Morning,

£30,000 a week and a 4-year contract for Kemar Roofe would be a good deal for both sides.

    It's important we keep him.

I agree with Doc Roofe is injury prone and no good enough for the PL so 4 year contract NO and 30k a week dream on

Bank holiday good morning all. Yes Roofes worth it and more than parity with Bamford too. Better the devil you know. Bielsa knows his strengths and weaknesses. Get another striker and youd still have to pay him the same if hes any good and you could still end up with another Bamford or Lasogga. As always, if hes going, make sure his replacement is signed and settled in first <whistle>

It's the same contract as Kiko the clown's on and he's not good enough for Sunday league football.

Happy to sell Roofe. Like the guy, but no-one puts a gun to my club's head & gets an endorsement from me. (So there! :) ).

We have Bamford, who will do equally well, if not better - if he escapes injury.

We have Roberts who will prolly do better as a #9 than a #10 - and he was more than passable as a brand new #10 this year!

We have Edmondson who will break through this year & prolly be a regular the following year, with Kun T. hot on his heels.

We will have the opportunity to bring in someone who Bielsa fancies with the Roofe money.

If you're a stats man, the BBC says Roofe scored every 167 mins, & Bamford every 162. The thing is, Halme scored every 45 minutes. Should we play him as striker? <whistle>

    Good morning Everyone.
Keep Roofe, sell Bamford, and get in a PL striker eg Llorente on loan or buy, were gonna need some experience,a good leader and a class Defender, from the English top two tiers to get out of this League,we seem to be looking abroad atm,imo need one or two seasoned pro's who know about the PL/Championship,not madrid reserves, look what happened with Kiko for eg,or players that look good from soft continental leagues for eg Cibiki from Poland.Yes i admit you can hit the odd gold nugget eg Pukki , but how often does that happen?

The thing is, Llorente is a very similar type of player to many strikers we've been associated with. And yet, none of them are noted for their 'intensity'. And yet 'intensity' is what stopped Brown playing for us. Why is Bielsa going to change his mind all of a sudden.

Btw, it's a general question, SW, not aimed at you personally.

Few would have played with the intensity Bielsa demands in fairness WJ. I suppose thatll be one of the major issues for Bielsa, trying to find players who can or are willing to embrace his system. Certainly whoever scouted Brown got it wrong and luckily he was only on loan. Maybe its the reason Bielsa seems to like Harrison so much, puts in a shift

To me Llorente is a class striker who is kept out of a very good spurs side,by a couple of the worlds top strikers, since when have we been associated with recognised top strikers/players,to me we have usually gambled with inexperience or players from poor continental leagues, this surely has to change to get into the PL,sure try one or two of the upcoming youngsters, blood them in gradually into a team with experience, that has hit the ground running, and we could have a very solid team with for once, with strength in depth.

Bielsa has to bring in new and fresh blood along with new tactics, change the formation and shape of the team when necessary because if we pick up where we left off it will be mid table for us, over to you Mr. Bielsa.

How would it be a good deal i fail to see it. Why give him a huge rise costing a lot more. If we go up hes surplus anyway. Too small and not fast enough. So just keep him because the transfer fee we would get less fees etc after the pay rise would be wiped out.
Makke him honour his contract 30k a week .
Or sell him now and get che adams frombrum.

Jock regarding Llorente. Firstly he is now a free agent as no longer at Spuds after Saturday. Secondly he is a Bielsa disciple as it was Bielsa that turned him into a top striker when he played for him before. It was Bielsa that spoke to Pochetino when he rang him to ask if Llorente could play Bielsaball. So dont think intensity is an issue. Wages and age may be the problem

Because he's proven at this level and fits Bielsa's system perfectly. I'm not bothered about whether he's good enough for the PL, it's irrelevant.

    Totally agree Doc.

Roofe isn't PL material, mind you, neither is Bamford.

I can understand Roofe having a grievance regarding Bamfords wages, but 30k a week he ain't.

Personally, I'd sell Roofe and Bamford for an experienced striker with fire and Brimstone. I think Roofe is half lazy in that he doesn't chase many balls he should.
