Jack Harrison is expected to sign on the dotted line today to seal his season long loan from Citeh? Thoughts? Brighton central defender Ben Clarke will also seal his season long loan with the Whites. The 21yo is due to take his medical this afternoon. According to John Percy (the football writer for the Daily and Sunday Telegraph, and Midlands football correspondent), Leeds will complete the season long loan of Wolves Winger Helder Costa this week! Are we sorted for wingers now? It looks likely that Leeds target Luke Freeman will be joining Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Utd this Summer. Thoughts? Have the Managerial standards in the Championship dropped? Slaven Bilic has taken over at West Brom. Martin O'Neill has been sacked. Forest forced into action due to alleged mutiny from the squad over O’Neill’s methods. As you know Jonathan Woodgate has taken the helm at Boro. Pep Clotet is in temporary charge at St Andrews (Birmingham City). Lee Bowyer will stay at Charlton. Scott Parker has a couple of months experience of Management with Fulham Can you think of another Championship Manager that you'd be happy to take the helm at Elland Road if Bielsa were to leave?
Morning all... Regarding the standard of coach in the Championship, you have the older ones like Bielsa who have a winning system, the younger ones like Lampard who can call in favours from the likes of Chelsea with decent loans and then a large bunch who know how to work within a tight budget but that usually means very unattractive football. I don’t think it’s the standard dropping, just a shift in how the game has moved on. Enforcers like Michael Brown and David Batty would see red every game now, if you’re a coach relying on a midfielder to crunch the opposition and then hoof the ball forward 50 yards for a 6’ 4” Striker to get on the end of it you’ll discover it will no longer work. If all those transfers come off, the Bielsa has sanctioned them, he wants those players back or in the club, it has to be seen as a positive. If we get Costa and Harrison back I don’t care so much about the other two.
Morning all. All incomings are welcome as squad clearly needed strengthening. As always it’s a wait and see how they work out. Harrison and Clarke only two I know or can comment on. The Pre xmas Clarke will be a great addition, the post Xmas one no addition. Harrison is ok. Would have hoped for better but maybe there’s an extra bit Bielsa can get out of him. Ben Clarke’s never played at our level so no idea there and never saw Costa either but reports seem to be quality so hope he fits in
Morning all The bog standard go to managers are all still out of work. Moyes, Big Sam, Pulis etc and when MoN is forced out by player power it just shows how much clout players on big wages in the Championship have. Forest have been in trouble ever since they didnt back Karanka and expected to win the league last season. Tough shyt. Good news that young English managers are being given a chance Transfer coming in can only be good and Harrison should be much better this season. Costa will be great and white will push both Pintus and Cooper so that any i juries in the CBs will be no worries this season. Reports on White are that he is so,id, mobile, skilful and can play football. Factor in the young Carlisle winger Liam McCarron too because he will do a job in the first team this season . Still more happening behind the scenes which may not come off but Luonga from QPR and also Radz right hand man in Italy has flown into Turn and is in meetings today with Inter Milan?

Dislike loans, only time I find them acceptable is with a purchase option, which I believe Brighton won't do, so what's the point. If he does well, then it will only increase the value of the player for them. Harrison was poor most of the season but did show signs of improvement at the end of the season, will have to trust Bielsa on this but have a gut feeling we may see an improved player this season. If we get the Costa Wolves had in their promotion season, then we have a player on our hands. Bilic is a manager I would have liked here, I think he will improve West Brom, the others have to prove themselves, even though Bowyer did a good job with Charlton. I put O'Neill in the dinosaur realms of manager, like McCarthy, Pullis, etc, not moved on with the game and are a spent force nowadays.

As I understood it, the winger targets were Kent, Costa... and Harrison back. So if Clarke is back on loan, my guess is it means we’re not expecting Kent. Hopefully costa is still on the cards. I liked the idea of Costa AND Kent... both young and proven at this level... i’d also have welcomed the other wolves winger who’s name escapes me at the moment. Think they wanted to sell him and loan costa though. Whichever it’s July 1st and noise of progress. White was identified as a key target so promising that we’re getting who we’ve identified. ... assuming all goes through of course. I’d like another striker, but hard to keep them happy if all fit. Bamford got a lot to prove, still for me.

If he does come and costa and the carlisle kid come i cant see jack getting a game. Good to see competition for pontus and calamity cooper. I suggest that White has been brought in to either start or push Pontus and Cooper. Therefore we must be better than last season unless Harrison has gone backwards and White spends the season doing an Izzy Brown, which cannot happen again. Wish we had a CB who could have taken stood in last season. White was our only defensive target and Bielsa rates him and Orta has gone out and got him. So I see him as a positive Also think we have the addition of Bogusz and McCarron and more Shaks this season
One surprising thing Ive noticed about White, hes only 5ft 11. Not very commanding for a centre half, theyre usually well over 6ft. Cant be a help aerially surely
