Good Morning Everyone Leeds leapfrogged their Yorkshire rivals at the weekend to move back into the automatic places at the expense of the Blades who lost 3-2 at home to Bristol City! With 7 games still to play, how many times will the second place change? Its fair to say that the game against the lions was always going to be a dog fight. Whilst it was good to see the Whites come back from a losing position twice, did Leeds make heavy weather of it? They had their usual 70% possession and 18 shots at goal, 8 of which were on target, but Millwall scored with every shot on target! This is turning into a theme for Bielsa's men - 70%-100% of the oppositions shots on targets will result in goals!!! Why is this? Where would Leeds have been without Hernandez? Douglas or Alioski at left back? Is Bamford going through a bad patch or is he not as clinical as we thought?
Good morning all A win is a win that's what was important on saturday,Alioski every time for me,a player who always gives 100%,also douglas a major dissapointment for me,as for Bamford i was touched by the Leeds fans giving him morale support on social media which was great to see, however we are in a crucial stage of the season & to me cannot afford anyone to be firing blanks at this stage, not only do we need to gather lot's of points, but also crucially just in case it comes down to it,our goal difference,Roofe hopefully will soon be back, could we play both i don't know, but ones thing for sure,is we now need more than ever strikers that are on fire,Bamford will almost certainly improve, but have we got the luxury of time? i fear not.
Good Morning Matt & all They had their usual 70% possession and 18 shots at goal, 8 of which were on target, but Millwall scored with every shot on target! This is turning into a theme for Bielsa's men - 70%-100% of the oppositions shots on targets will result in goals!!! Why is this? Because we defended like schoolboys, Cooper & Pontus were all over the place, our full-backs were constantly caught out of position giving acres of the pitch for the Millwall forward to run into. Only Kalvin Phillips came out with any credit defensively. Where would Leeds have been without Hernandez? We'd have lost the game. God help us should Pablo pick-up a injury during our last 7 games Douglas or Alioski at left back? Overall Alioski has been our best option but he was extremely poor on Saturday Is Bamford going through a bad patch or is he not as clinical as we thought? Hopefully just a bad patch One of the worst centre-forward displays I've witnessed from a Leeds striker in my 55 years watching LUFC
Morning all... A handful of games to go, a packed ER and massive away support, some of the most demanding and at times unforgiving fans in the division and huge expectation, you can’t tell me nerves do not play a huge part. The social media response to Bamford was immense and that’s what we need to do now, give the players as much confidence as possible. Roofe can’t come back soon enough for me and I hope it’s to replace Bamford and not as a #10 I’ll say that in here but outside the confines of the forum and on social media I hope the fans don’t get jittery and start getting on anyone’s back.
Good Morning to Matt and co a sunny Bardsey Well we were 4 points behind Sheff U with 20 minutes left to play could these final 20 minutes define our season because the Blades collapsed and we turned a defeat into a win only time will tell but it could be a sign that they have less bottle Loris showed even highly rated keepers make b ad mistakes when he should have caught Salas header and cost his side a point
Morning all Firstly I have updated the loan watch sticky and as we are nearing the end of the season I have put my thoughts down. Our defenders play better with Kiko behind them Bamford has missed over 10 goals in the last 3 matches, so hopefully his bad games are now behind him. I reckon he has missed sleep thinking about it so hoping Bielsa can sort his head out. I see the blunts getting beat again next week and I see us chasing Norwich down because they will panic and drop points. It will be tight but between us and them Douglas was the best money we ever spent and then he got injured, had a baby and hasn't really done anything since. We need to find out if its fitness or something else.... Pablo has been player of the season for me and the EFL are a bunch of ****ers for not having him in their team of the year
Without Hernandez we'd probably be the same place as Norwich would be without Pukki, Sheff without Sharpe and West Brom without Gayle, and how Villa struggled without Grealish.
Just back from a hard two hours work. Mot is away and I've a day off tomorrow. Will I or won't I get pissed?
Will have a read of the loan page soon nipping our now but I was reading glowing reports just yesterday about Wilkes playing wide right, blistering pace and 15 goals were the main points that stood out
Morning All, A slight correction though "Leeds leapfrogged our Yorkshire rivals" Alioski at LB for me, then Harrison plays a decent game. Watching the extended highlights on LUTV both he and Roberts played well.
Did you get name right Bucks? https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/04/01/leeds-fans-react-on-twitter-to-barry-douglas-injury-reports/
