    Good Morning Everyone

Leeds survived an injury time onslaught including former Elland Road youngster Tom Elliott hitting the woodwork during the closing moments at the New Den

In the end the spoils were shared. Were we good value for our draw?

Was this a fixture that we would have lost last season?

Was it the right decision to play Alioski? Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan claimed if the Macedonian 'had a brain, he could be a World beater'.

    Thoughts?

How much of a loss was the absence of Roofe and Hernandez?

Who would have been the most effective?

Without these two players, are we going to struggle?

Fans opinions were split on who Leeds best player was!

Jansson was a rock in defence, chalking up 17 clearances, and winning every header even though his distribution further up the field was poor.

Whilst Spanish wizard Saiz's surging runs, and pin point accurancy passing made him a hit with the ER faithful.

    Thoughts?

    Morning El, Morning all

I'd probably give it to Pontus with the little I saw as we were under the cosh at the end, but Saiz was a dynamo. these kind of things dont matter under Belisa anyway, its all about the side again <ok>

    Good morning, sunshine.

My thoughts are we need to stuff Preston, give them a right old rogering.

That may not be easy. They will park a bus, I expect and we are going to find goals harder to get.

I wonder who will start up front. Problem is Tyler has not got his confidence yet and the ER crowd could destroy the lad. Bielsa is right (of course) that he was getting into scoring positions so could come good eventually. But you’ve only got to read social media to realise there’s a minority already banging the wood together ready for a crucifixion.

Whatever, Bielsa will be right and we’ll beat them but maybe not easily.

I did not want elliot to score it would have given the wallies too much ammo on here.saiz had a good game but as usual held on or ran in to a blind alley again.pontus was a tower against the high balls and crosses so his distribution was not as good .he can work on that via the coaches.we missed both hernandez and roofe but if and when izzy gets fit then the options are better.

Missed this match and have been reading up on it from various sources, but it seems our defence was fairly solid and both CBs won most of their battles. Bielsa says Roberts played well so we have to let the kid get on with it and hopefully having the fans behind him tomoz will give him an edge. Roberts knows he has the best opportunity he will ever get and he must feel confident because he can now say hes a full International at 19yo.

I really expect Bielsa to teach Preston a lesson tomoz, a bit of revenge is nice

Sais is good at moving around until he sees the right pass. I think he suffered from the replacements not quite fitting in perfectly, a few times he just could not see the pass to make. Another example of football being a team game.

High hopes on Izzy - hope they are justified

Good Morning to the Sherriff and his posse from a dull Bardsey
I must say I was pleased we came away uninjured and undefeated butb it was clos at the end
I wish Bielsa would give Edmundson a run out on Tuesday the lad is brave and will not be intimitadated and I feel he will not get caught as Roberts did in car headlights
I think the two lads would be unfaced with the prospect
I watched Blackburn and I must say Bradley Dack reminded me especially when he beat 2 players on the byline of Tony Currie This lad has everything got a perfectly good headed goal disallowed and scored with a cheeky back heel what a player and we could have bought him for 750k
Needs to get fitter I thought he was carrying too much weight and needs to improve his awareness of his team mates but a certain star for the future can we afford him well I bet he will cost at least 10m now but he is only 24 I do hope Matt or Doc or Ristac can show some videos of him please

Morning all....a good hard fought well deserved point on Saturday. I agree with most of the comments already made, we do look a bit laboured without Pablo & Roofe and seem to have dropped the intensity a little. If the incoming replacements are good enough for Bielsa, then that's good enough for me.

Agree re saiz holding onto the ball being part related to the options available to him. He generally looks a better player with Hernandez around him. We missed roofe and Hernandez. Reasonable chance roofe makes one of roberts’ chances count (assuming he got in the same place) but Pablo makes us tick.

The intensity drops when we play against 2 strikers as Phillips drops back between Pontus and Cooper to make 3 CBs, so we lose that extra body in the middle. Just a slight adjustment but teams need to be brave to play 4-4-2 against us and not many teams with heart like Milwall and bet Alex Neil dare not use twin strikers tomoz

Yes as Bielsa didn't have too many options & to be fair Alioski had done quite well this season, unfortunately when we needed him to stand up to the plate especially with Roofe & Pablo injured he went missing. How many more times is he needlessly gonna get caught offside this season, he needs to be a bit more clever in timing his runs!

Jansson & Cooper were like rocks at the back for us & they needed to be. Some really unfair criticism aimed at Pontus especially from social media, without him we'd have lost more headers against their big unit as they continually bombarded us with crosses & long throw-ins.
Pontus & Saiz joint MOTM for me with Cooper not far behind

Magnificent & a joy to watch. Some sublime passes, created the majority of our chances, those around him wasn't always on the same wavelength!

    Morning all..

If Noel Whelan had a lot of things he’d have been a good player. Sadly he was lacking in most departments, seems he has a good gob on him though.

Morning all. Didnt see it due to work but very pleased with the result. To be honest, even if I could have, Id have struggled to bother watching it. Millwall are little better than a rugby team and I really couldnt be arsed ever watching their "style" of football. Ive seen enough of them over the years. Imagine 22 or 23 teams playing that kind of football in the championship, crowds would be small to watch that to say the least

    Morning all.

Good draw to remain undefeated and top of the league. Regardless of anything else that is the most important thing after Saturday. The base is still there to build on next time. Lose and the wobbles could start.

After playing some sublime football this season against good opposition I see it as no bad thing that we had a game where our defence is taking most of the plaudits for being so strong. It shows we are not a one trick pony, that is the difference between us this year and last. There will be times we can play teams off the pitch, especially when Roofe and Hernanadez are fit, and there will be times we need to grind out a result.

While I agree we did not look our best Saturday what we did look like were league leaders/winners getting a result any way we can. That is what all the best teams in previous seasons have done to win this league.

Roberts will only get better for that game. He, as stated, was getting into good positions and if he continues to do that the goals will come. Hell, even if they dont while he is in those positions he is causing defenses problems. I think once we see one goal from him we will see a few.

Pontus and Cooper were exceptional, backed by the stats, and shows what options we have at the back. Cooper seems to have erased the silly mistakes he would make last season, hope I have not jinxed him, and looks very good. Hope it continues.

I was really hoping to go tomorrow night as after attending the league cup game I really want to see us show PNE up. Cant get out of work in time though to get to ER. By all accounts we are available on Sky via the Red button tough.

Millwall boss Harris: Leeds United’s celebrations were a disgrace

Millwall manager Neil Harris had no opportunity for a traditional post-match drink with Marcelo Bielsa on Saturday – but has labelled the actions of some of Leeds United’s backroom staff to their late equaliser “a disgrace”.

The Lions chief shook hands with the Argentina-born boss at the full-time whistle but then appeared set to confront someone in the away technical area before being led away.

Bielsa had stormed into Millwall’s section when they were slow to give the ball back for a throw in. But after Jack Harrison’s goal the Leeds celebrations were directed at Harris and his coaching staff.

Bielsa apologised for his behaviour in his post-match press conference.

Asked if he had a drink with the Leeds manager, Harris said: “No. I briefly had a five minute catch-up when I went pitchside to do press. We discussed the heated exchange at the end of the game.

“I think Marcelo has already apologised in the press for his bench. And I’ve already stated that my staff could’ve given the ball back slightly quicker, make it more accessible to get the ball.

“But their reaction to the goal is completely over the top and a disgrace in English football.”

Jed Wallace had put Millwall into the lead and the Lions went close on a couple of frenetic goalmouth scraps as well as Tom Elliott’s header hitting the post.

“I felt at the time that their goal was a little bit unjust and looking back it was completely against the run of play,” said Harris. “We were controlling the game and never looked in any danger. The goal is out of nothing – a 25-yard shot into the bottom corner.

“On another day it would hit any of the five blue shirts in front of him who are trying to get out to block him. We have to take that on the chin. We showed great character to almost win the game afterwards – instead of going into our shell.

“Tom’s header hits the post, Tom Bradshaw has a shot blocked on the line and Jake Cooper’s header is blocked on the line. Jed puts one wide right before the final whistle. When these things go for you then you win the game.

“It is not going for us but our performance as a whole was outstanding.

“Our fanbase played a part, really getting behind the boys and my players fed off that.

“The pleasing thing is we have played four top sides at home, we couldn’t have had a much tougher start, and we should have had 12 points. We have conceded three late goals in those games but good sides are going to score goals past you at this level.

    “There are lots of positives.

“I’m really looking forward to Wednesday [and playing QPR]. The group mentality is outstanding. I’m bitterly disappointed my players did not get the three points they deserved [against Leeds]. It is important to take that momentum into Wednesday.”

The wife of late Wales manager Gary Speed has spoken of a letter he wrote as a teenager that hinted at long-standing mental health problems.

Louise Speed found him dead at home in November 2011 and at the inquest the coroner said he was not satisfied Speed intended to kill himself.

But his wife has since found a letter he wrote to her as a 17-year-old.

In it Speed wrote: "I'm so depressed. I'm just going to sleep now and hope I never wake up."

Speed went on to star as a player for Leeds United, Newcastle United, Everton, Bolton Wanderers and Wales and after retiring became his nation's team manager in December, 2010.

In an interview with the Mirror and WalesOnline, Mrs Speed said she found the letter, written while he was at Leeds United, during research into a book about the Speed family since her husband's death.

"Seeing that was a light-bulb moment for me, in many ways. It answers an awful lot about why he did what he did. It's not something a normal 17-year-old would write, is it? Or not a well one," she said.

"Maybe the mental illness or depression was always there from an early age and it's been ruminating all his life.

"If so, us having Gary until he was 42 was maybe a bonus."

At the 2012 inquest into his death, Mrs Speed said four days before he died her husband had sent her a text talking "in terms of taking his life".

She said the text conversation referred to their "ups and downs" but also mentioned "how important the boys were" and about "moving forward".

"The texts went on about our future together and how excited he was about our journey together," she had told inquest.

The couple had two sons together, Thomas and Edward.

What an absolute typical Millwall t**t Harris is for his comments.

I do not want to get into it too much as far as Im concerned Millwall is done and until we play them at ER we need not think about them again as they are not going to trouble us but has anyone else seen the video clip of the Dad teaching the kids to do the throat slit gesture towards the Leeds fans?

Regardless of what club they support or who it was aimed this is disgusting and has no place in football. What right minded person does that themselves let alone teach their children? If this is what the current generation is teaching the younger then Millwall will always be what they are now- a small philistine club belonging to a lost era that has no place in football. It also shows, again, what a joke the EFL are, making Millwall the family club of the year. The Addams family maybe.
