Good Morning Everyone Bailey Peacock Farrell made his full International debut for Northern Ireland on Saturday night; an initiation he'll choose to forget. The first goal went through his legs at close range - not too much he could have done about that to be honest. The Leeds number one was then sold short a back pass from Cathcart, and the helpless keeper was rounded to give the Bosnian's a 2-1 away victory. After the game pundits Lee Dixon and Ian Wright criticised Peacock-Farrell for being scared of getting hurt when coming out for the ball! (Doesn't sound like BPF) “Obviously, Peacock-Farrell makes a mistake here,” said Dixon. “He's just got to come and clear it or catch it, if he dives forward and get his hands on it, but I think he just gets a bit scared that he's going to get clattered, and he tries to block it.” “He's playing for Leeds, in goalkeeping terms, he's a baby. He's 21 years of age, he's got a lot of learning to do. He's a good goalkeeper, there's no doubt about that, so it's a learning curve for him,” he added. “The challenge the goalie made was as if he was outside the box. He's got to dive on that with his hands. I think he doesn't want to get hurt – I wouldn't be happy,” said Wright. Stuat Dallas had another particulary good game for NI. It was noted that his displays for his Country are a lot better than his club. Thoughts? Alioski scored his second goals ion as many games for Macadonia, this time against Armenia from the spot. A very good penalty. We should hear today the extent of Bamford's knee injury, that he picked up during the under 23's 5-0 obliteration of Bristol City. The 25yo hurt his left knee challenging for an attacking header in the City box. The Whites had Blackman, Baker, Harrison and Bamford all start. Would you say that Leeds offer good value for money for their:- a) Seaon tickets b) Food and drink c) Programmes
wright’s a clown, but I respect dixon’s Opinion. I’ll have to look at it again because it looked to me like he realised he wasn’t going to get their first and tried to block it without giving a pen. Didn’t look like his fault to me. Fine if they disagree and want to call it a mistake... but saying he’s scared? We’ve seen him dive at strikers feet. I think it’s a cheap shot to say that about a player to be honest.
Morning all... It’s what BPF does for us that matters, if he had dived in and got injured I wouldn’t have been happy. He is a young improving Championship Keeper who will make mistakes. He was right not to choose England as he’d be miles down the pecking order. Even if Bamford is only out for 2-3 weeks it’ll set him back a long way in being ready to dislodge Roofe, we just need to hope he stays fit. Hopefully Izzy has managed to get a valuable week under his belt, two after this one.
Morning Matt, Rich & all Just had breakfast & packed the car our anticipation for the journey back home to East Yorks after a lovely holiday in Northumbria Catch up with you all later
Good Morning to Sheriff and his posse from a dull Bardsey I just hope that all our international players come back uninjured I see that Stockdale has been farmed out to Southend on an emergency loan but I bet Brum are picking up most of his wages Why is it when Rednapp joins a club as manager does he leave them in financial difficulties I think he is like Ridsdale he like to be Santa Clause and give them what they want so Stockdale jumped at 30k a week. Its not his fauklt its the management who toss exhorbitant fees to the wall and let the future owners pick up the tabs and try and clear the mess up Its no wonder Leeds said no to him even on a free I feel he has harmed his career by being to greedy no one can afford him Finally I feel that its wrong to critise BPF as he was trying his best and lets face it he is only young
Morning ristac, we've had a lot of injuries since the season started, fortunately none too serious...
Morning everyone Just hope if BPF sees the comments from Wright/Dixon etc, that he's mature enough to just shrug them off,he's a great keeper in the making, mistakes will happen (mind you not sure that they were mistakes),but i am sure Bielsa will know how to handle him if need be.Friggin roll on saturday & get back to what really matters.
i don't listen or like wright he can,t even speak correctly he says fink (think) free (three) fort (thought) fum (thumb) and the best mumf i think that should be month. so no half wits comments do i bother with or should that be wiv.
BPF is far too young for international football. Would have been better getting his call up in four years time. Not an easy job between the posts either for Scotland, N Ireland or Eire, usually guaranteed to be fairly busy given the gulf in standard
Looking at some of our players out on loan is pretty easy this week as most of them didnt play due to International break, so all those overseas not playing. However Wilkes started great for donny scoring 3 in 3 but been not too clever since. He was pulled off on Saturday after 62 minutes as making no impression for Doncaster against Luton. O'kane was on the bench for Luton and came on for the last 15 minutes, so not given a real go as yet at the hatters. Lewie Coyle still doing the biz at Fleetwood and did all 90 minutes against Sunderland and got booked. O'Connor didnt feature for Blackpool but did play midweek in the Cup and scored. Tyler Denton is out injured at Peterboro but seems a lot of fans dont rate him? Liam Kitching still doing well for Harrogate Town and played all 90 minutes. A very promising CB.
Evening all, Didn't see the game or goals, so can't comment. If I watch a game on tv I almost always turn the commentry off and don't watch the pundits, too biased and talk sphericals most of the time. Dallas is a good squad player, just can't get a run of games to show what he's got. Hopefully it's good news on Bamford. a) Not sure what a season ticket costs, know there are many price structures based on seat, loyalty etc. Just bought 4 tickets for Brum game, 2 adults, 2 kids for £66.00 including postage and fees, is pretty good value, I'd say. b) Food and drink at all football, music venues and the like is average at best and about 30% overpriced . c) Buy the lad a programme, £3 That's ok.
Season-tickets are still high for championship football although Bates price structure was much worse. To be fair, if we continue to play scintillating football as we have done in the first few matches our season-tickets are excellent value. Beer is very poor Food is what you'd expect at a football ground, not great I haven't bought a football programme in many years. I use to collect them in the 60's/70's
