Good Morning Everyone Marcelo Bielsa is advising the Mexican Football Federation on a new Manager! You may have heard that the South Americans tried to sign Bielsa following the departure of Juan Carlos Osorio, but obviously the offer was rejected. There was also the small matter of a 30m release clause! It has been reported that that Denis Te Kloese and Gerardo Torrado, who represented Mexico at FIFA’s The Best in London, had also scheduled a meeting with Bielsa whilst in England to ask the Argentine's opinion of a future successor for the Mexican national team. Marcelo Bielsa has outlined structural changes to Thorp Arch to include sleeping quarters and rest rooms for the players, similar to the facilities he instigated during his tenure at Lille. Speaking to the YEP Bielsa said:- “I never impose my point of view because we’re here for a short time,” “All head coaches are in a club for a short time. “I just told the club what kind of infrastructures the big clubs have. This club has extraordinary infrastructures. If you see the pitches, they are a miracle. “I don't want people to think I impose my point of view to the club because that's not the case. I make suggestions and then the club decides if it wants to invest in the infrastructures or not. When I arrived to the club the players were receiving a very good service. I proposed some small changes. “The club is willing to give additional facilities to the players. When you are a professional footballer you need to rest and you need to be together with your teammates. This belongs to the profession. “For regular citizens, when you rest, when you live together, when you have activities together it's not a necessity, it's not an obligation. But in professional football it's an obligation. The club has to take into account the fact that players spend a lot of time here.” Kemar Roofe is expected to be back in first team action next weekend against Brentford. He may even be on the bench for their midweek outing to Hull next Tuesday. Hernandez and Berardi are expected back after the International break. Who can name 15 players who played for Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday.
Morning all I have no problem with the best managers commenting upon our manager as he is held in high esteem. I have no problem with our manager wanting the same facilities as Man City, Chelsea, Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, AC Milan etc because I want our club to get back into that company again. The difference in tone and professionalism is blatantly obvious at the club this season. here's hoping for a brilliant result and performance tonight
Morning all... Looking forward to the game tonight, desperately hoping for a win, I don’t want to have that “wheels coming loose” feeling that I know will creep in with a defeat.
Amen to that Good morning everyone Looking forward to a good result tonight,to put to bed the hangover from last season.
Good morning Matt & everyone Mexico & Leeds should heed the great man's advice Apparently the Leeds players already sit down & eat breakfast, lunch & tea together plus have a sleep/rest session during the afternoon
Good Morning to the Sheriff and his posse from a very sunny Inverness yes the sun has arrived at lastHoping to watch the game tonight Wed will be without Hooper and Forestieri could play after serving a 3 match ban Roofe is not up to scratch but Beradi could be on the bench and I expect Hernandez to playalong with Forshaw
Between them Hernandez, Roofe & Berardi have missed a lot of games already with more to come it seems
Quite a few in recent years played for both clubs Five i can think of from the Wilko era Sterland, Shutt, Newsome, Varadi & Chapman of course Only time I sat behind the dug-outs in the West Stand was in the early 90's. I recall Jon Newsome ambling down the right flank taking on a player & Wilko & his sidekick going bonkers with him, one of them cried out "who the f*ck do you think you are George Best"
https://www.leedsunited.com/news/team-news/23144/sheffield-wednesday-they-played-for-both Got to win to shut the naysayers up. Last year we were going OK but really not convincing anybody. This year win or lose we are playing like a team. It will be a tough game but, as long as I get up in time, I think I'm going to enjoy it.
Not sure if he signed for them, it was intended but they couldn't afford. Wiki says he was there two days but didn't play a competitive match.
Paul Hart & John Sheridan were two of the players from decades ago who played for both. David Wetherall was signed from Sheff Wed but never played for the Owls
Morning all, Was going to do this as we're on Sky so much in the next month but appears that Now TV doesn't get red button games so would only get 3 rather than 5 games so they can go **** themselves and back to the joys of streams but if it's any use for anyone else it's a month of Sky Sports via internet on Now TV for £12.99 https://www.nowtv.com/sports-purcha...736a3a328c0ba1a&DCMP=afc-nowtv:nc_General/gen )
